So we live in a world that is very complex complicated with it's numerous dynamics so what is, is now what was, the times are changing and so should we all change with the changing times, it is very necessary that we adjust adapt and upgraded to stay relevant and on demand...
Few days ago I was having this discussion with my principal and I actually told her how it is that our degree certificate is no longer relevant, before now if you're a graduate you are sure and certain that your life is better, you are rest assured of a better job, better opportunities good life plus other great things coming your way but now the table has turned its no longer the way it use to be, times have so changed...
So now the regular B.Sc degree certificate that took some of us 4-5 years to obtained is no longer relevant or recognized as valid, you have to obtain other certificate to be be added to your list of your certificate to be eligible for employment in the corporate world, but with just your mormal certificate is a no no...
I am someone that is always very curious about things and because of my curiosity I get to ask questions, seek answers to why certain things are the way they are, before now I have seen many school leavers, graduate people who finish top of their grade point average going to do minimal jobs just to survive, and I asked my self what's exactly is the problem all these guys were brilliant so why are they now doing odds jobs?.....
I'd find out that its not just that they weren't brilliant or intelligent but there's a factor they left out, they forgot to consider this aspect of life and that's has turned out to become their night mare and so they live life at the mercy of whatever is available....
If I'm to advise anybody leaving school today I would advise that person to always think ahead, plan and strategies outside the box I will use myself an example.....
When I first got admission I had this in mind what's happening cause I had a brother who left school 4years ago but unfortunately there was no jobs, he kept looking till he gave up hope, now this is the reality of over a thousand others too, I won't totally blame our economy for not making provision for these graduates I mean every year thousands of people graduate from all high institutions all over the country meanwhile there are very little or no jobs to curtail the influx of these school leavers.....
And so I went into school very strategic about my plans to not just go to study but also to factor my life after school experience alongside .... this is an aspect most persons left out believing in the old ways that everything will be alright the moment they graduate just for them to meet with life and realise that times have changed now you need to have a skill with an added certification to gain a desired life ....
This is my honest advise to a person who persons who leaves school..
