To be honest, I wouldn’t say I’m the fittest person out there, but I also can’t say I’m just sitting around doing nothing. I’m definitely working towards being more fit, little by little. These days, I try to stay active in my own way—nothing too intense, but enough to keep my body moving.
One thing I do quite often is walk a lot. Whether it’s just moving around in my area or going to places instead of taking a bike, walking has become part of my daily routine. I also play football from time to time, which isn’t just fun but also a really good way for me to stay in shape without even realizing it. Football gives me a sense of energy and movement that I enjoy, and it helps me stay connected with people, too.
Lately, I’ve been pushing myself a bit more physically. For the past few weeks, I made it a goal to do at least 40 push-ups every morning. Some days, I even do more, depending on how I feel. It’s not easy, but I’ve started noticing some changes in my body—nothing crazy - but I feel stronger, especially in my arms and chest, and that little progress has kept me going.
When it comes to health, I have to admit that I haven’t been doing my best. I’ve been consuming way too much sugar, especially when I was in school. Snacks, sugary drinks, biscuits—you name it. At the time, I didn’t think it was a big deal, but recently I’ve been dealing with a really painful stomach ache at my abdominal region that has left me feeling weak and uncomfortable. It got so bad that I had to go to the pharmacy to get some drugs just to manage the pain.
That experience kind of opened my eyes. Since then, I’ve been trying to be more intentional with what I eat. I’m not saying I’ve become perfect overnight, but I’ve started cutting down on junk food and especially on Indomie. I used to eat it almost every day—sometimes even three of four of it in a day—but I now realize that it’s not doing me any good. It’s quick and easy, yeah, but in the long run, it’s just not healthy.
So right now, I’m trying to take better care of myself by eating more healthy and balanced meals when I can. I still slip up sometimes, but at least I’m aware and actively trying to do better—for my body, my energy, and my overall well-being.
