Few days back I created a blog about whether we are actually raising thinkers or copy pasters in the era of AI and today I came across a contest organized by India United and so I am here to participate in this as that topic is quite interesting and I have a lot of views on it so let's start.
Artificial intelligence is something which is actually made to help humans do things faster. And this technology has evolved in such a way that it helps a machine learn and do tasks on its own. For example, there are language models today that most of us have used and they help you answer almost any question from all around the world.
If you ask them about what is the formula of a circle to calculate circumference, they will tell you within seconds. If you ask about the length between two different points and you give the parameters, it will calculate instantly. You do not need calculators. You do not need mathematical students or anything, but just a single tool will help you and that is how you achieve it.
I am not someone who is totally against the technology and these tools, but what I strongly believe is that because of these tools, the young minds, especially the children who are studying in school have lost the ability to imagine, create new things, and invent and know their capabilities.
That is why when it comes to children, especially maybe below the 14 years of age, I think these tools should be strictly prohibited to be used by them because the beauty that comes from reading, the beauty that comes from these young brains will be lost if we allow them to have access to these tools as these tools will limit these children to use the beauty of their brain.
Now there is a reason why I said this age should be 14 years because I have read and maybe you all will agree with me that the first 14 years of a human is something where we do the most productive things and learn the maximum of basics and then the next 14 years are the years where we shape our career and do productive things with respect to our career.
With AI tools, we have lost the interest in reading the books. With AI tools, we have lost the interest in creating new things on our own. With AI tools, we have simply lost the beauty of creativity.
Do not totally rely on these tools for each and everything. I know people who are using AI tools to create their banners, using AI tools for writing script, using AI tools for each and everything. Why? I just want to ask you, why are you using it for each and everything?
Yes, maybe we should use it when we are short on time, and maybe then we can create banners, or maybe we can create banners to take ideas from AI tools so that we can create our own version. But why totally rely on it to create the end product?
I literally want to ask the people who are reading this blog, what do you think about using AI tools for each and everything? Do you think it is good?
Let me also admit to the fact that with time you all have to develop and adaption for the upcoming generation is definitely going to come with the AI tools and you might have read blogs, posts, and different things everywhere telling you that if you are not going to adapt with AI, you are going to be behind everyone else and maybe you will not fit for the future.
It is already happening and you can see that on Instagram release, on YouTube videos, people are using AI tools to create videos, write scripts, and share each and every part of the content using AI. And the fact is that people are consuming it as well.
Now let me tell you what I personally think about these AI tools. I think these are useful but we have to be responsible while using it. How to be responsible? Be responsible by not completely relying on it, by not letting the young kids operate it, because obviously if they get something like AI tools in their prime age they are not going to put efforts on making their brain use the creativity that they all have in them.
So yes, AI tools are good, we should use them but we have to be responsible and we have to make sure that we are not totally relying on it because if someday these tools are not with us we are going to be in harm. And one more thing, the world will someday see a new trend where these AI tools will be made paid and you will have to pay to use them.
Just like the free internet in India, we got used to it and now we are ready to pay higher prices for unlimited internet. When Jio came to India the internet was free for each and everyone, unlimited internet was being provided but now we have to pay higher prices as we are all addicted to using unlimited internet.
So when we get addicted to using AI tools, maybe when people will charge us to use them we will have to give the money because we simply can not live without them. So that is what I think and yes, by the way if you want to participate in the contest I am leaving the link to it below.
