Global advancement has brought about a lot of breakthroughs in many aspects aiding human survival and evolution. These breakthroughs are mostly seen in the tech space where constant innovations of new things is shaping the world to gradually be futuristic, just like we see in scifi movies.
Not surprisingly, some of these innovations don't work as intended, but with more modifications and constant maintenance, consistency and the ability to learn, unlearn and re-learn has proven to be very vital in other to attain better innovations.
Artificial Intelligence, a very interesting innovation that has threatened replace many jobbers our there, is one scientific breakthroughs we have achieved in our world. Artificial Intelligence has dominated many aspects of life, including music production, writing, programming, and even task managing.
Though it has many features, not many people like it as much. Some fear that AI may develop an intelligence of their own and maybe harm humans. In this post, i wrote about my perspective on Artificial Intelligence. I wrote whether or not i like it and use it. This post is an entry for India United contest.
Honestly, I really love artificial intelligence. Its really a nice creation with many feature. Depending on where its installed and how its programmed, it can do a variety of works including domestic chores, and even some professional work like editing music, videos, writing and the likes.
Though i love AI, i can't help it but think whether its making work easier for us but at the same time, making people lose their jobs. What if we get use to AI to the extent of allowing it control major things of life? Wouldn't that make humans lazy? would it make us to become slaves to AI?
I don't really see artificial intelligence as a threat, but personally, i would not want for something or someone to have much control over my activities and work. AI is a tool, but if its fed with many information, i think it may one day become a threat.
I think we should give AI limited information required for an particular function, and not give them the ability to be independent.
Though I love Artificial Intelligence, I rarely use it. I believe in learning the skills so that i can do things for my self and not let any AI do things for me. I don't even use AI for images or text. I do my research myself without need for using AI. I love AI, but its not a tool i would want to use.
