As a Hive content creator, you will never stop learning, and that's one of the reasons I love this space. You will find new features, new updates, and new projects that keep the platform alive. This only shows that Hive will continue to live on and grow.
This is what every newbie should know, so there is no rush. Get prepared to read, learn, explore, discover new things and build and add value to the Hive ecosystem.
Before I continue, allow me to introduce or re-introduce myself. Okay, now that has been done (although you can find me more on Threads, creating and engaging), I'm glad to join the Indiaunited Community finally and participate in this week's prompt, which will be helpful to the newbies.
So any content I bring with this account will be different and also in different communities from the ones I associate with, with the other account.
I would love to write this as a blog that would be helpful to any newbie who visits it.
It's not an easy task onboarding and coaching newbies. I passed through a 5-day free boot camp hosted by @starstrings01 and @olujay, and I have learned a lot being a Hive content creator (I mean A LOT) and am also glad to have created a Telegram group as an onboarding hub.
I usually give my referrals (the newbies), onboarded through INLEO, some pieces of advice which I will love to share in this blog, along with some screenshots.
Here Is Some Relevant Advice For Newbies To Be Successful On Hive
- Be ready to read more and explore. It's by doing so that you discover more features and important posts to help in your growth as a new Hive creator.

- Join/subscribe to communities and read the rules before publishing any post. I feel this makes anyone a member first in any community. Before I comment on anyone's blog, I love to check if I have joined the community, and if I went ahead to comment without joining/subscribing to the community, it means the blog was really interesting that I couldn't wait to dive in.
Create original content and reply to the comments on your blogs. Most newbies are in a hurry to ask: "Can I use AI?" Of course, my response is always "NO, you can't use AI for your written content." You have to bring your original content, your views, ideas and thoughts.
If the community rules accept AI images, you can create your images with AI and indicate the AI used in generating them.
Avoid plagiarism. Owning other people's content (copying from their sites or social media pages and claiming it's yours) will bring down your reputation, and the trust people have in you will be all gone.
Also, this could lead to your blogs being muted or downvoted.
Be genuine in engaging with other creators and avoid single-word responses, like "Thanks", "Nice", "Good" and just like that. It may be accepted, possibly after some conversations in the comments, and then you finally want to end it. So either that or an upvote can end the conversation.

I know you understand what I mean. Okay, let's move on.
Join the communities' Discord servers to get updated about the communities' activities. On Discord, you are likely to find scammers; avoid clicking on any promotional link in Discord channels.
If you have any complaints, report them in the community's Discord support channel; if there is no support channel, report in the general channel.
Anyone who offers to help with an unfamiliar username is likely a scammer. First, confirm with the admins and moderators to avoid stories that touch the heart.
Don't hesitate to ask questions even if you think it's stupid. Lol. It's better to be sure than to assume what you think is right. If you shy away from asking questions, you automatically close the door to learning.
I learned more by asking questions. I never stop asking questions because I always want to learn more.
- Avoid clicking on phishing links in any blog or comment, especially coming from a newbie or someone you don't know on the blockchain. It could be a trap to access personal information about you or even wipe your crypto wallet.
Don't be in a hurry to withdraw your earnings. Haha, this is the one most people don't want to hear. So, I try to transform their mindset to ignore the money and focus on the value they have to offer.
When you build your account to a certain level, you will be pleased with how you've grown your wallet.
Love for the people: What do you have to offer to people on the platform? Bring it on. The love for the people will inspire you to create valuable content and be of help in suggesting solutions to problems.
Conclusion
I wasn't taught everything. As said in the beginning, learning never stops on the Hive blockchain. I had to read more, explore more features, engage more, and ask questions. I was patient and open to learning new things.
Withdrawing my earnings wasn't on my mind. I was focused on growing and learning more. With all I have learned, I share the knowledge with newbies and try to be an inspiration as well.
Thanks to my friend @onos-f, who introduced me to Hive in 2022 and my onboarders @starstrings01 and @olujay, who took the time to put me through with other newbies.
Thank you for visiting my blog and for taking the time to read it. I would love to hear your thoughts. Kindly leave a comment.
