Ahoy, me ‘earties! I just got done talkin’ to me matey The Merchant, who says that they’re more than pleased with the “goods” that were smuggl’d in by ye scurvy dogs. They say they’ll be able to reopen shop soon thanks to the efferts of all ye who participat’d in the smugglin’ run.
The Spanish and British tried to blockade Deadman’s Bay but were unsuccessful thanks ta the brave efferts of a ragtag fleet of disparate pirates. Clearly there is a logistical and tactical prowess between the group that goes unseen by all but the closest watchers.
@simplegame raised a tattered Spanish flag to attempt to deceive the blockade. While he didn’t manage to smuggle many goods back to The Merchant, he was lucky enough to receive a brand new Spanish flag. The Spaniards are vain and do not abide by damag’d regalia.
@battlaexe leverag’d her alliance with the dreaded sirens of The Deep to lure off half the patrols, causing crashes against the rocky outcroppings surroundin’ The Obsidian Bluffs, affording the Scarlet Reign free passage back to Deadman’s Bay with the requested booty.
Meanwhile, in the dead of night, @miryam and @underground appeared from the shadows and laid waste to the remaining blockade with massive cannon fire and volleys of torpedoes, sinkin’ or incapacitatin’ every patrol ship that manag’d ta resist the lure of the sirens.
Cap’n Boneapart’s bone raft, The Luckless (@wwwiebe), casually drifted through the preceding carnage, bringin’ more goods to The Merchant, followed by @drlobes and his Royal Fortune.
I can tell The Merchant be pleas’d, although they show no sign of emotion from under their dark cloak. They’ll be able to reopen shop soon and will be fully stocked thanks to the brave efforts of the pirate fleets that dared to smuggle past (or flat out destroy) the blockade around Deadman’s Bay. All pirates who participated will be forever honored in Pirate World.
In other news, our matey @simplegame has rigged up a special dice roller fer Pirate World. Instead of trustin’ and relyin’ on me to roll dice fer ye, all ye now have to do is mention “@piratedice” in y’er comment and the mythical knuckles and bones of fate will be roll’d automatically. This system speeds up y’er turns and gives some extra transparency to y’er questin’ prowess.
Disclaimer: The dice rolling bot is not, and not to be used for gambling. It is a Dungeons and Dragons style 10 sided dice ("d10") to determine if an action you take in the Pirate World game succeeds or fails and/or to determine the efficacy of your actions. That is all.
