Cost of production is the total amount of capital that's spent on producing a particular good or product before they are up for sales. On another note, Chicken cost of production is total amount of capital that's spent on number of chickens before they reach to harvest. The cost of production on broiler chicken range from capital for their feeds, capital paid for them in their day old, capital paid on drugs and vaccine, workmanship and so on.
The cost of production so far.
This is just total amount of capital that I have spend do far. Here is the break down below;
- 150 day old birds=N52,500
- 14 bags of feed=N140,000
- Medication and vaccine=N9,000
- Litter materials and mobility cost=N4,000
- Workmanship=N3,000
The total cost of production as at three weeks is N208,000. So far so good no mortality rate from diseases or viruses. The only mortality was from farm incident.
