Scholar and Scribe and Dreemport are proud to announce a brand spanking new event for August: The Late Days of Summer Hold your excitement, I know. ๐ฑ We have collaborated with Dreemport in the past but this is the first time we are trying out this type of event. I hope you all leave us your feedback and tell us if you would like something similar in the future! ๐
โ๏ธ Late Days of Summer โ๏ธ
This event will run 3 weeks, 3 contests all centered around one theme. We have over 30 Hive in prize money for the entire event - not to mention a lot of tokens. The thematic undertones are that of joy, sun, and sweat, with each week's prompt highlighting a new aspect of the Late Days of Summer. ๐

The first time I saw him, he stopped me on 11th and 20th avenue. It was 10 o'clock in the morning and by his casual and light clothing, I could tell he was going to the beach. When he got into my car, he was indeed going to "Medina" beach, which was quite far from the city. At first he was quiet, but, as I am an expert at getting the words out,

Note: The story can be posted at any time during the week, but it must be submitted on the Dreemport site on this date. - You can vote for your entry on the 16th of August on Dreemport;
Note: The judges will consider the votes, but the winners will ultimately be decided by the quality of their writing and how well they incorporate the prompt. - All languages are welcome but MUST include an English translation;

The story you submit MUST adhere to the following prompts:
๐ฅ Prompt: Vacation to a Parallel Universe
So we are increasing the notches in the difficulty factor here. Mind you, you can still write about a beach adventure this week as well - if it's in another universe that is. ๐ The how and the why of this prompt are less important than the actual vacation. This is still a summer prompt with a sci-fi twist - not the other way around. Remember to keep to the spirit of summer as that is our overall theme for this event. ๐
