Beyond The Looking Glass is the second book in the Unseen series, a story that came to me from the other side. A story where I thought I was just the narrator until I heard the Words of the Unseen.
This second story goes beyond time and place and mixes the long ago with the here and now. Because history keeps repeating, until we learn and do something about it.

Beyond The Looking Glass - Words of the Unseen - Chapter 150

Few months have passed since I downloaded those applications, and oh my goodness. It´s addictive; the mind keeps asking for more, but in reality, the return on investment is so low.
Or very low, a nice chat that lasts a few days.
Distances, I do not feel like travelling frequently.
Uninspired replies that, without further ado, destroy any illusion of me even thinking about a next step.
But the brain keeps driving me, hoping for that one hidden gem between all the dirt.
I read that it´s possible.
That I would certainly not be the first to meet the love of his life on an application. But I have swiped nights away, and even those who for a moment seem to mesmer me, fade when the nebula of the night disappears.
What is a boy to do?
Accept that this is it?
Open up my arms and let it happen, a strategy I have started to implement in other areas of my life.
It all just feels so uninspired, so pointless, as if everyone is just looking to fill their pockets or satisfy unrealistic needs.
I guess these apps are indeed mirroring the ugliness of today's society in a perfect way. You can not believe what you see, what you read, and you should definitely not get infected by it.
Then again, society today also allows the other side of the coin. Finding connection while you are worlds apart, finding your call even if you can not hear.
The thing is that after all these somewhat disappointing months, I do not feel that it´s properly balanced. Not once did I feel a real substantive connection that made me curious, that whispers the word Wonderkind.
Something just a bit more deeper than the normal, "Hi what do you do for work, and how do you spend your weekends?"
Now, of course, as a first attempt, that is fine, but people seem so uninspired, shallow, with nothing more than that first superficial layer and the need to strike gold without putting in the effort.
Maybe it´s me, maybe I am the one with unrealistic needs and desires. Maybe I show just as little depth, and what is reflected by the app is basically me?
The thought makes me smile, but I am not sure if I like what I see, not when it´s really me. But maybe just like all the rest, it´s a part of the journey, and I am just not ready for my next match.
Feeling very indecisive, I delete two of the applications and stick with the two that are left. As if I can not say goodbye entirely to this idea yet.
I decide to keep one that allows just a bit more search options, and one that feels a bit more classy, and where I actually had a nice conversation...once.
I put the phone away and listen. It´s the silence of the night; other than a passing car every now and then, it is silent.
Silence, it used to be so normal not to hear their voices.
I never heard them till I did. And since then, it´s hard not to, but now it's silent, and come to think of it, it has been silent a couple of days now.
The moon is there, beautiful big above the mountains, not full but nice and round. I open the doors to my balcony and take a deep breath of the fresh air, and another.
Without thinking, I raise my arms and spread them wide, a third breath. "Thank you," I say softly.
With my head slightly bowed to my chest, I take another deep breath. "I am open to receive. I have painted her with words, so she can be found. It´s time, time to connect once more, and this time I ask for both, as I look for abundance. A deep physical and mental connection. It´s now that I am ready for the next phase of my life. Thank you!"
The thank you comes out a bit louder than planned, but I do not think I have woken up the neighbors. After taking one more look, I leave the night vision of the Sierra Nevada for what it is and go back inside.
On the coffee table, my phone is calling out to me, but I leave it be. "No need now," is what I hear.
