Greetings!
When it comes to developing the memory of a child completing or finishing a Jigsaw puzzle is one of the best activities that we can give our children to help their memory development. A jigsaw puzzle is a fun, interesting, and challenging activity that comes in various forms.
Since my child is now at the age where he has so much love playing any possible way and things that he can play with I bought him a simple Jigsaw puzzle a month ago for him to complete and finish on his own.
At first, I am curious if he can finish the jigsaw on his own. The jigsaw that I bought only comprises nine jigsaw parts with an image of an airplane (one of his favorite figures).
Before I gave him the jigsaw puzzle I told him "this is called a Jigsaw Puzzle, you can break them down, and then you can put them together to complete or finish it". I started putting the jigsaw together while he is looking on so that he is going to understand what I am saying. I disassembled the jigsaw puzzle then I handed it to him to finish.
Every time I am telling my son something I am curious if he understands what I am saying. And to help him get what I mean I always give him an example to follow
After I handed him the jigsaw puzzle I am surprised how fast he is able to put the jigsaw pieces together (maybe because the jigsaw puzzle only has nine sections). He almost completed the jigsaw puzzle in no time.
My son quickly put some of the jigsaw pieces in almost no time
At this point in time. I also noticed that he has some strategy in putting the pieces together. He do it by getting a piece of the jigsaw and then he tried to fit it in the vacant slot, once the piece does not fit he'll turn it in multiple times then try to fit them again on the vacant slot.
That kind of strategy is the common strategy that I have seen when someone is building a jigsaw. I too learned that strategy and it is possibly the most common strategy in building the puzzle aside from taking reference on the image of the jigsaw puzzle itself.
In this photo, my son can be seen almost finishing the jigsaw puzzle
As my son is nearing completion he struggles a bit in fitting the final three pieces of the puzzle (as evident in the photo below where he is holding one piece of the jigsaw puzzle on both hands).
My can be seen holding one section/piece of the jigsaw puzzle on both hands while he's a bit struggling to finally put up the final three pieces of the Jigsaw puzzle
In the photo below my son finally figures out where to fit one of the final three pieces of the Jigsaw puzzle.
In this photo my son can be seen fitting one of the final three pieces of the Jigsaw puzzle into its correct position
At this moment there are only two pieces left to be fitted onto the puzzle. Also at this time, I can see some smiles on his face because he's finally going to complete the jigsaw puzzle on his own.
In this photo, my son can be seen putting one of the final two pieces of the jigsaw puzzle into place
And then the time finally come in putting the final piece of the puzzle.
In this photo, my son can be seen putting the last piece of the puzzle into place
He finally finishes the Jigsaw puzzle

In this activity, I have learned that it is a good way of developing the memory of a child and learning some helpful strategies on the process on how to finish a task at hand.
All in all, this is a fun activity and of great help for developing memories of our children.
