Children by nature are curious and like to perform activities where they can combine theory with practice, experiments and playing the scientist are their favorite lessons, what they can check is very appealing to their imagination and creativity, once I made with my son a model of the volcano, I once made a model of the volcano with my son for an exhibition at school and while we were doing the tests at home mixing vinegar and soda, his face of happiness and amazement to see the "explosion" was worthy of admiration, to give it more realism we added red and yellow paint to the mixture and the result was excellent, he made his exhibition very excited and happy because he could understand why the volcano erupted.
Hola padres y madres que educan en el hogar,es un placer saludarles, deseo se encuentren disfrutando de buena salud, en mi país estamos en el período de vacaciones escolares, el cual aprovechamos para realizar viajes y diferentes actividades lúdicas con los niños y adultos, en esta ocasión haré mi entrada para el desafío Por qué educas en casa?, educar en casa es una hermosa tarea que requiere organización, constancia y paciencia, no se trata de hacer una actividad por lección solo por cumplir un tema o contenido, implica compromiso de los padres e hijos para lograr un aprendizaje significativo, esto incluye tomar el tiempo necesario hasta que el niño logre comprender un tema determinado y de es ta forma poder avanzar al siguiente nivel.
Los niños por naturaleza son curiosos y les gusta realizar actividades donde puedan combinar la teoría con la practica, los experimentos y jugar al científico son sus lecciones favoritos , lo que ellos puedan comprobar es muy llamativo para su imaginación y creatividad, en cierta ocasión realicé con mi hijo una maqueta del volcán, para una exposición en la escuela y mientras hacíamos las pruebas en casa mezclando vinagre y soda, su cara de felicidad y asombro al ver la "explosión" era digna de admirar, para darle más realismo agregamos pintura roja y amarilla a la mezcla y el resultado fue excelente, hizo su exposición muy emocionado y feliz porque pudo comprender el por qué de la erupción del volcán.

También le gustaba dibujar y recortar siempre que leía hacía un dibujo alusivo al tema donde con imágenes explicaba el contenido de la lectura, a medida que avanzaba en la lectura hacía mucha preguntas, lo cual es común en los niños je, je, a sus rutinas de lectura incorporé vídeos y este nuevo elemento fue de gran utilidad para su aprendizaje, en familia veíamos los vídeos y comentábamos la parte que más nos gustó y él solía hacer dibujos que guardaba en una carpeta.

I apply this strategy in the different areas of study and the results have been very good.
A medida que avanza en la escuela nuestra organización de educación en el hogar se va adaptando a su grado de estudio e incorporamos nuevas áreas de estudios y temas más complejos de los que venimos trabajando, en matemáticas ya pasamos a las fracciones, potenciación, descomposición de números entre otros, revisar sus tareas continuamente permite ver sus avances y conocer aquellos aspectos que necesita ser reforzados, en ello se centran las actividades de educación en el hogar y así en cada a´rea de aprendizaje, para hacer estas actividades más dinámicas trato de integrar un determinado tema en varias áreas, por ejemplo: El sistema solar, con ayuda de una maqueta o imágenes identifica y escribe el nombre de los planetas, luego la distancia entre cada uno de ellos, el tamaño, sus colores, características generales, importancia de cuidar el planeta tierra entre otros.
Estudiando el sistema solar integramos matemáticas,geografía, lengua, arte, ciencias naturales e historia, estoy convencida que trabajar kas áreas de forma holistica es de gran ayuda para el aprendizaje de los niños, además es muy importante atender sus inquietudes y requerimientos específicos sobre sus temas favoritos con los cuales se puede trabajar de esta forma también y motivar su aprendizaje.
