Hello everyone, I hope you are doing well, here we continue with homeschooling. I'm still paying attention to my 5 year old daughter's pencil grasp. I have been looking for several activities to help her improve her fine motor skills. Taking advantage of the things we have at home I have prepared several activities, I try to make them fun so that she can do them with the best spirit and so she doesn't get bored very quickly.
Hola a todos, espero que se encuentren muy bien, por acá seguimos con la educación en casa. Aun sigo atenta a la manera de agarrar el lápiz de mi hija de 5 años. He buscado varias actividades que le ayuden a mejorar la motricidad fina. Aprovechando las cosas que tenemos en casa he preparado varias actividades, trato de que sean divertidas para que las haga con los mejores ánimos y así no se aburra muy rápido.

Activity 1:
I found some large screws with nuts and they were perfect for me, since to screw in she needs to use her index finger and thumb. It caught my attention that several times she used her left hand, she had never done this before, since she was very little she always used her right hand, but this time she used her left hand, unconsciously I told her to use her right hand but what she did was to cross her hands and continued screwing with her left hand, so I let her continue the activity with her left hand. So that she does not take this activity as an obligation I play with her, first we screw the nut and then we compete to see who gets it out faster.

Actividad 1:
Encontré unos tornillos grandes con tuerca y me resultaron perfectos, ya que para enroscar necesita usar los dedos índice y pulgar. Llamó mucho mi atención que varias veces utilizó su mano izquierda, esto no lo había hecho antes, desde muy pequeña siempre usó la mano derecha, pero esta vez usó la izquierda, de manera inconsciente le dije que usara la derecha pero lo que hizo fue cruzar las manos y siguió enroscando con la mano izquierda, así que la dejé continuar la actividad con la izquierda. Para que no tome esta actividad como una obligación juego con ella, primero enroscamos la tuerca y luego competimos a ver quien la saca más rápido.
Activity 2:
For the second activity I used a cardboard, I made holes all around it, then with nylon thread and a wool needle, I explained the process (without having much of her attention) then I invited her to "sew" the cardboard, this activity cost her a little more because she must be concentrated to know in which direction to put in and take out the needle.
Actividad 2:
Para la segunda actividad utilicé un cartón, le realice orificios por todo el contorno, luego con hilo de nylon y una aguja lanera, explique el proceso (sin tener mucho su atención) luego la invité a "coser" el cartón, esta actividad le costo un poco más porque debe estar concentrada para saber en que sentido debe meter y sacar la aguja.
Activity 3:
The last activity came to my mind after watching a video on YouTube. It consists of making a shoe out of cardboard so that the child can learn to tie the braids, but in addition to this it can also be used to exercise fine motor skills by having to put the braids through the holes.

Actividad 3:
La última actividad se me ocurrió después de ver un video en YouTube. Consiste en realizar un zapato en cartón para que el niño aprenda atar las trenzas, pero además de esto puede servir al igual que el anterior para ejercitar la motricidad fina al tener que meter las trenzas por los agujeros.
Materiales:
Cartón
lápiz
marcador
pintura
pincel
palito de altura
Dibujé la forma del zapato en el cartón, si no sabes hacerlo puedes utilizar un zapato del mismo niño como guía o alguna plantilla de internet.
Then I painted with the primary colors yellow, blue and red to make it more eye-catching. With the marker I highlighted the lines and details.
Luego pinté con los colores primarios amarillo, azul y rojo para que fuera más llamativo. Con el marcador resalté las líneas y detalles.
With a height stick I made the holes where the braid goes through. When I tried to insert the braid I realized that they were too small so I had to make them a little bigger. After that I showed my daughter how the braid would go and how to make the loop.
Con un palito de altura realicé los orificios por donde va la trenza. Al tratar de introducir la trenza me di cuenta que estaban muy pequeños así que tuve que agrandarlos un poco. Después de esto le mostré a mi hija como iba la trenza y como realizar el lazo.
I really liked the result, I think that from now on I will encourage myself to do more didactic activities. It is important not to exaggerate with the amount of activities so that the child does not get tired and reject them. It is also very important to be actively present when doing them, we can also take advantage of some daily tasks for these practices, such as choosing the grains, tying shoelaces, so the child sees that what he/she is doing is useful. Me gustó mucho el resultado, creo que de ahora en adelante me animaré a realizar más actividades didácticas. Es importante no exagerar con la cantidad de actividades para que el niño no se canse y las rechace. También es muy importante estar presente de forma activa al realizarlas, además podemos aprovechar algunas tareas cotidianas para estas prácticas, como puede ser escoger los granos, atar los cordones, así el niño ve que lo que está realizando es útil.
