It started probably in 2005 , every year boat or boats are travellin all the (possbile) way on Wisla river, longest polish river !
941 kilometers of river route.
I'were very lucky to make most of this way last year and some small parts (maybe a week in parts this year).
Idea started when Jarek "Chicken" read old book (not Necronomicon, but book by Jakub Bojko, 1857 _ 1943 "Flis do trzeciego króla" ("Raft till third king"))
about peoeple that vere working and leeving as raftsman .
(Jaroslaw "Kurczak" on the left - it was his idea to start this wonderfull action)
steerman of large part of Flis .
There's no good english translation of word 'flis" anyway - timber rafting isnt true meening couse it was often shipping of goods by boats (galars) not wood as rafts like more mountain parts of rivers .

New boat on the run - Galar "Solny II" (or "Flow") freshly built traveled from Sandomierz to Gdansk this year - Solny I got some serious damage at Woclawek Włocławek Reservoir last year (but with some effort made it to destination - city of Gdansk anyway ! ) .
Also ol' good Solny (I) made once whole way from Cracow to Orlean in France !

Four boats (I belive) made this travel in 2700 km from Poland to France !
What a pitty I didnt know about this beautifull tradition in those days.
