The big debate in the sailing community is how you learned how to sail or really how you should learn. There are two groups. The first focused on learning on a small craft, like these opti's. The second group is learn as you go with what you have. Go with a friend, get your own keel boat, learn on a bathtub with a mast, whatever you need to do. I'd love to hear your thoughts on how one should learn and why. Nothing wrong with some healthy discussion!
This is a sail school on the Chesapeake after a two week course. These kids were selected to participate in competitive races. It was great watching them put their instruction to use and round the marks. They had fun and it was really cool to watch.
