For starters, I got called in to work for this evening, which is sucky. I know people have to work so they can get money so they can eat and pay rent and all that junk, but in these scary-ass times, I REALLY don't like to leave the house! Every trip into the WILD is another chance to catch a potentially deadly illness, and I'm paranoid about germs when the world isn't embedded in the midst of a global epidemic.
But I said yes because they rest of the folks at work need the help... (I'm a delivery driver, if you're wondering...)
Next up, here's a pretty picture:
"Curves (A Minimal Piece)" by me
[Felt pen on found cardboard with extra baby drool, and digital embellishments and colors. 2020. This is another one of the pieces I drew while trying to entertain my granddaughter. She's less interested in coloring at this stage and more about stuffing the pens, crayons, and support media into her mouth. I'm still considering this a collaboration, though, because, if she hadn't been here, I probably wouldn't have drawn this!]
Let's see...shitty work, check, pretty picture, check... Oh, Power Up!
My first Hive Power Up Day!
Not a lot, but some. I did cash out my liquid STEEM and use it to buy some HIVE. I'm powering down the rest, but it's going to take some time before that stuff's ready to be HIVED. I also sent some HIVE to my wife because she ran out of votes a couple of days ago, and I don't want her to have a bad time. I know, from first-hand experience, that the first few weeks on the blockchain, with voting and commenting and everything COSTING now, as opposed to sites like Pinterest and FaceBoot, where everything SEEMS free, it can get frustrating. (IF IT SEEMS FREE THEN YOU ARE THE PRODUCT...)
Last bit for today...
You still have a little less than 24 hours to make a bid in the Covid-19 Relief auction, put together by NonFungible and MakersPlace. Even if you aren't a crypto art collector, you can still look at the works on display, click the little "heart" button (and make the artists feel good! Most of them are donating their sales to covid-19 relief efforts), and drop an encouraging comment! You can also share the link---especially with folks who you think want to start collecting rare digital art OR people who want to help with relief efforts! Here's a link to the auction (there is an "About" page there that explains some of what's going down...)
https://makersplace.com/nonfungible/?view_all=1
And, as I've mentioned in previous posts, I do have a piece in this auction!
One hundred percent of my cut of the sale (if it sells) will go to relief efforts, and any little bit helps! I ain't no Rockefeller or a Bill Gates, so I can't shovel loads of money at the cause. I can donate a painting, though, so that's what I did!
Okay folks, thanks for playing!!! Wash your hands! Stay home! Stay creative!!!! (Here's your chance to read that novel you've been putting off, or---better yet---start on that memoir you've been thinking about writing!!! Stay busy! Stay up! Don't get stuck in the Swamp of Saddness, like Atreyu's horse, Artax, did!!!) We SHALL PERSEVERE!!!
HIVE ON...
