Well well well,
I recently got back into crypto because I was speaking to someone how I used to be involved with Steemit and it made me realize how much I missed the community on Steemit so now I am here.
Hello to familiar faces and to new ones.
I am still trying to figure out where everyone is hanging out and who's still here but damn, it feels good to be 'back'.
A little history
I joined Steemit in september 2017 and quickly became very involved in the community! I was an @OCD curator for a while, was part of @slothicorn, was creating projects with people and started my own project @humansofsteemit.
I was writing nearly daily and was constantly checking my steemit page and the discord channels. It was HELLA fun. But in the end, it was too much. I got really really burnt out. I was in contact with so many people at the same time, it just got to me. And I had to take a really big step back.
Update
Well what has happened in the past 3 years?
Obviously covid hit and that was and still is a lot to deal with but I am getting through. The pandemic situation made me really lonely so I started a podcast (in Dutch) as an excuse to meet up with people! It really makes me very happy and I am sure I'll be podcasting on here as well.
We got a cat, his name is Floki! Look at this magnificent photo I took of him this morning.
All hail King Floki
Still have the same shitty receptionist job although I do really enjoy it because I love the people I work with. Got a few more grey hairs, passed the good old 30 years old mark, started wearing glasses (yay for getting older) and I am now in therapy and working on all the stuff that has happened in the past. Life is good although I find it difficult.
If I read my Steemit blogs I really have to laugh. I was so damn carefree and happy (love and light crap), I would say I am still positive just not as overly excitedly happy as I used to be because life has kicked me in the butt. Yet I am grateful. I am learning so much about myself and about life and what I would like my life to look like. It is interesting to say the least.
Anyways, happy to be here.
I missed this.
A lot.
Happy to have connected with @acidyo, @jznsamuel, @rok-sivante and @erodedthoughts.
Where are you @maverickinvictus? You still here!?
I look forward to reconnecting and meeting new people.
Still figuring out how this all works! Haha
Happy to be here,
Ashley
