I've been poking around the crypto markets and a safe way for some or a traditional way to invest is to buy shares in a company that produces crypto. HIVE Blockchain is listed stock on the Toronto exchange (TSX.V:HIVE). It’s been on a bumpy ride, very volatile I think due to the nature of trying to use legacy models to value the price or opportunity of a company such as this. I think if you try to evaluate the company via traditional means it will come vastly short but if you look at where the block chain is going to take us wither you want on board or not. Its going to require massive data centers. One would think that he who taps into the cheap energy wells is going to have a huge advantage moving forward. So this company could feasibly process blockchain for companies, for coins for a whole lot of things. There has been discussions about the mining of ethereum getting close to an end and that’s why the stock has gone done but really that’s not compeletly in tbe books yet either when and if POS will be completely implemented or how long it may take. Or if the ethereum community will really limit their coins or not. I think ether might not be the future platform but some for or another of blockchain based coin using higher encryption levels will and companies taping into cheap power are in position..
Anyways just a thought and might be completely way off. I’m generally really excited about blockchain and how it can free us from the banks. Though we need to be careful that we don’t enable the powers at be to try and centralize blockchains that the people can use. I think the cat is out of the bag at this point but time will tell.
