Time for a little competition for fun.
I've made a commemorative NFT to celebrate year one. There are three NFTs...mint numbers 2 and 3 will be given away, mint #1 will be sold.
Two ways to enter to win the NFTs
Here's how you can enter to win either mint 2 or 3:
- comment here...you'll get one entry
- make some type of 8-bit art and comment here with your art or link to it...you'll get two entries
- don't worry if your art is "not good", if you make it, it's good enough, just do it!
The art can be on anything, it doesn't have to be love or LUV-based (family friendly). Maybe...a bird? A planet? An insect? A lemon? Your funkiest pair of socks? A banana slug? A quohog? (Look it up.) Anything! That's what makes it fun!
Winners will be chosen randomly. It's too hard to judge one person's art over another person's art, so, winners will be randomly chosen. I'll likely go with https://wheelofnames.com to pick winners. Maybe I'll use the Bitcoin hash (which I've used before). we'll see how it goes.
Why 8-bit art?
- I like art and drawing and such. But mostly, because it's fun.
- Anyone can make "art" like this.
- It's a tip-of-the-cap to LUV's little sister Hivebits (HBIT). (H-BIT, 8-bit, get it?)
But, I can't draw
Yes, you can. Like singing, we can all do it, only to different degrees of quality. Just because I can't sing like Vicente Fernández doesn't mean that I can't sing.
But, I can't draw well
Doesn't matter.
- 8-bit art is very, very forgiving.
- Even the simplest, most minimalist and basic 8-bit art is often the best.
- If you are having artist's block, just make an 8-bit Valentines "sweetheart" candy and include a saying inside. For instance, maybe one saying, "LUV U" (like below).
- If you need assistance, reach out to me and I'll help you. Commenting here is fine, Discord would be even faster.
- Remember, your entry has the same chance of winning as anyone else's. Just do it.
