@lordbutterfly (I'm sure he understand what I did to his image post lol) started a great conversation here @lordbutterfly/remove-content-rewards-from-base-layer-yea-or-nay about rewards and whether they should be removed from base layer (L1) and only exist in L2.
This post is about his post but not only, like I said to him, at the end it's all connected
Like any good conversation, there are opinions to suit all tastes, those who say yes, those who say never! And even those who think we shouldn't be talked about these type of subjects π€«, because it is bad for the investors.. I wonder who are the investors lol I don't see investors and I'm quite sure if they exist somewhere, there are some big whales don't even like investors, things could be different with new investors and they may lose suckers and control.
I also gave my opinion and I'm now making this post to respond to a very interesting reply from @lordbutterfly
"The preferred option is that people don't come for the rewards but rather the experience."
If you're following me, you've probably figured out that I don't care to much about rewards, so I don't really care if they come from L1, L2 or L245.
I don't know if the lordbutterfly is aware but this phrase, The preferred option is that people don't come for the rewards but rather the experience, is extraordinary and perhaps the key to many misunderstandings at Hive. 999 in 1000 have Facebook for the experience, 999 in 1000 have Instagram for the experience, 999 in 1000 have X/Twitter for the experience.
Why does Hive have to pay 10 salaries for a few photos, self-help books in the form of blog posts, snake oil posts, bullshit about the ups and downs of cryptos or the story of my trip to the neighborhood pizzeria?
I would say even more and I'm not joking! Lol
I would include this sentence in the Hive Whitepaper π
Come for the experience and have fun, we offer the beers. If you're looking for a job this is a Blockchain not an Employment agency.
Continuing
One of lordbutterfly's arguments is that 70k USD a month from the reward pool is not enough, I would say that 70k in beer is a lot of beer lol
me in comments: You and other guys doing those work to the Blockchain marketing should be payed for that by DHF funds, period!
- lordbutterfly's reply: Nah, nobody can ask anything before Crimsonclad gets paid first. They could thoug- h vote more contributor stuff instead of those Stabilizer comments.
If you don't know Crimsonclad you don't know probably the only person on Hive that take marketing to a professional level and of course she must be payed by her work for the blockchain and community, there are people receiving a fortune to make graphics for Hive X/Twitter, Hive Instagram, etc, why the hell Crimsonclad is not receiving what is deserved and fair?!
We will have to make a DHF proposal on behalf of Crimsonclad?
About the Stabilizer comments, what i really don't like and everybody pretends not to see, is to see one guy with 10 or 15 posting keys from big stake accounts autovoting on all his posts, acting like a good boy, it's insane! Each post +$50 for the beer pool! Not bad! lol
DonΒ΄t know who i'm talking? Just ask me, it's free and doesn't hurt π
me in comments: There are too many guys in Hive looking in the mirror!
- lordbutterfly's reply: True... But we are some good looking folks here on Hive. ;)
Of course we are some good looking folks here! Look at me π
If you didn't understood the top image, let me explain: If you see someone asking for a cake, don't give him a cake thinking you're making an achievement, show him what it takes to make a cake.
