Hi guys! First of all let me tell you I'm not a marketing guy, I have no degree in marketing and this post is not about someone in special but some of you in general.
If you follow me you already know I have some doubts about how Hive marketing is made and how money from DHF to marketing is spent but this post is not about that.
Let's take Twitter as example because is my main big social media and is a good example
I read a lot of twittes made by Hivers even if I don't interact with those twittes ( if you read till the end you might think I'm saying one thing and doing another but I don't want to be a marketer, so if you want, this is a kind of "do what I say don't do what I do" ), I read a lot from you that are in Hive and also in Twitter.
Let's Marketing for Dummies
As I said I'm not a marketing guy and don't want to be but I believe what I will say is completely related with marketing and you don't have to have a degree in marketing to know this, in my opinion is common sense.
This is particularly to those who's Hive marketing texts are the core of their twittes, I mean, does who are payed to do that and those who are known as Hive Marketing Contributors, I could mention some but I prefer to mention one good example of what should be a marketing journey in twitter, or at least the base, @manuphotos from @keychain, that I believe don't have any special high knowledge about marketing, does what others don't do.
Let's face it, almost all of our twittes are read almost only from Hivers, we can call it internal marketing, it exists but I guess your intention is external marketing, reach outside of Hive.
No matter internal or external there are one thing that someone who wants to build a marketing profile have to do.
And here we are in the main section and only reason of my post.
It doesn't matter if you get 1 reply or 20 (you're not getting 1k, for now), try to interact when possible and as much as possible with the replies, like the replies, build an engagement, make people who replies you feel they are not talking to a wall, be human, be warm. Agree or disagree, build a conversation, teach, learn, don't act like you are the best of the lot, even if you don't feel that, be humble.
Resuming and specially
Just don't drop a bunch of tech words like a bot and interact with people interacting with you.
Today you might just talking about Hive to Hivers but tomorrow you might talking to outsiders, and they need to trust in you to your marketing have a meaning. Marketing is not about how tech you are, it's about how human you are.
