I continue to be pleased with my growth as a writer on my Hive blog and with content produced for platforms outside of Hive. My last post Perseverance, topped out at over 1800 words, and just poured out of me with ease.
There were very few of those moments in content creation, where those pregnant pauses of quiet reflection, are required in order to deal with what I call "Content Gaps" in order to move forward with the article.

This is why writing about true events that have happened in your life, are easier to complete, as you're simply drawing them from memory as opposed to creating them out of whole cloth (as that old saying goes).
Keep Creating Every Day
This points to the importance I mentioned in writing for yourself and not creating content around expected upvotes from whales (always remember, they don't owe you anything). That's not something I've had to deal with much over the last six years, as any support from them have been incidental during the best of times.
This had allowed me to sharpen my ability to create better content in order to publish outside of Hive where I'm fully supported for the effort that I put in. It turns out that grandmother was right when she advised us to never put all of our eggs in one basket. She grew up on a large farm and truly learned from experience.
It will benefit your growth as a writer to write something each day. Even if it isn't published on Hive. I often engage in freewriting, as well as reading informative articles in order to become a better blogger.
The more you write, the bigger a "bank" of words you have in which to draw from when creating content. I love to read, so my bank or well of words to choose from, is vast compaired to the copycats on Hive who rely on ChatGPT to even write their comments for them.
These lazy, non-creative fucks, usually hail from the same region known as 'The Land of Scammers' where corruption infests not only the government officials, but has spread among the people as well.
The sad thing is that once they start to "make it" on Hive and begin generating a noticeable income (beyond the $1 a day that is the norm) they also attract the jealous, hateful, and DANGEROUS, attention of their fellow countrymen who want a share of the bounty suddenly heaped upon them by the whales of Hive.
That's when they start talking about fleeing to the west...
Just think about it. They mimic someone else's well-written post, It generates $60 in upvotes, of which they receive half, $30. That's not seen as a lot of money here in the US and in Europe, but in 'The Land of Scammers' that represents;
AN ENTIRE MONTHS WAGE...
They receive post rewards which are then immedeately sold for fiat, which sinks the price of $HIVE. Value is drained from the Hive platform without anything being put back in. It reminds me of the immigrants who've destroyed our local economy by sending the wages they make back to their home countries, while spending as little as possible here, unlike the American citizens that they've pushed out.
It's all extractive and exploitative. Killing the goose that lays the golden eggs. Swiping the eggs themselves, then butchering and devouring the goose that laid them with no thought at all for tomorrow.
This is why these "Learners" are so eager to attach themselves to good content creators from Europe, Australia, and America.
They know it pays for them.
That's why those with large stakes should be more aware of who they're upvoting, and the impact it has in a region where the average daily wage is just a dollar a day. A little bit goes a long way there. You whales are the ones supporting them with huge upvotes. Are you growing new original content creators for Hive?, or cloning more copycats who'll drain the reward pool dry with no concern for the future of Hive?
Someday (God willing) I'll be one of those whales and will have the ability to support creators of ORIGINAL content with the hard-earned skill to not need to copy someone else's work or use ChatGPT. Until then I advise new Hive bloggers to keep your head down and Create Every Day. Allow your natural creativity to increase, and you'll grow as a writer.
