Hello friends! @ericwilson here. I am so excited to move forward with my idea to gather information and form a marketing proposal in the Hive Proposal System
It started when @nathanmars invited me to be interviewed. The interview was only supposed to take "about 20 minutes" and we almost ended up talking for 2 hours. Here is a link to a replay of the stream on twitter and while you are there don't forget to drop a follow!
My Plan Is Simple
Gather information regarding users on the blockchain so that we can tell the story of how Hive has grown both their brand as well as their Hive wallet.
My main focus is on:
Showing the return on investment when purchasing Hive, staking it (locking it away) and upvoting good content (as a stakeholder you get rewards for doing this known to the community as curation rewards). The more you have staked, the higher your upvote is worth and the more rewards you earn for upvoting.
Showing the return on investment for users who delegate their Hive to curation projects. A delegation means that you allow someone else to use a certain amount of your voting power without it leaving your wallet. People usually delegate to curation projects because of the great ROI and the opportunity to be "hands off" and allow projects dedicated to finding good content do what they are good at without the need for you to watch your account and continue to manually upvote. This is valuable to content creators that don't always have the time to do that here.
Showing the value of projects outside of the community to join Hive and incubate their project in various different ways including creating Dapps (Decentralized apps) and community support.
Brainstorm ideas and creating "Best Practices" for new content creators on the blockchain to include Hive in their community plan.
Show that a mix of purchasing Hive (and staking it), upvoting good content, creating good content, and being involved in the success and growth of Hive will be greatly appreciated and respected by the other stakeholders! Simply put, show your appreciation for our blockchain as you learn about it and we will show you support right back! It is all part of a good marketing strategy on Hive, and we want to learn how to help in the most effective way we can.
Then What?
It is my intention to gather this information to help guide and mentor projects new to Hive to show them what has already worked here and how we can make it even better. As we learn and grow more, I hope to convince a larger project to be our first use case with the @hiveincubation project.
From there, I would expect to have enough information together to really pick up the pace once we are confident in our message and strategy.

I currently delegated 1000 Hive power to this project with the intention of rewarding commentors and posters that talk about #HiveIncubator - We hope to have some sort of delegation plan for people that want to support the project as we learn more about what this will become.
