In one week, the Hive community will be sponsoring, speaking at, and exhibiting on the showfloor of one of the biggest web3 and cryptocurrency gatherings of 2023 at the Estrel for Web3 Berlin!
One of the goals of this upcoming year for many of our community members has been an endeavor to take Hive to global gatherings and share the possibilities of our ecosystem with new users, businesses, developers and beyond. With a series of live events featuring informative booths, dapp villages, and keynote talks all showcasing the community and potential of the Hive ecosystem, we're excited to announce that the next opportunity is one of Europe's largest: Web3 Berlin.

In person gatherings are always an incredible way to share knowledge and to get to know the diverse membership that makes up the community owners of the Hive blockchain. Web3 Berlin's presentation schedule is stacked with Hive community members giving an array of interesting talks about Hive, our community and technology, our guiding decentralized principles, and our dapp and development ecosystem.

While the presentation schedule has not yet been released by the Web3 Berlin team, keep an eye on the website at https://berlinweb3.com for the full up-to-date details of the event. For the full event schedule, if you plan to be in attendance, the conference will take place from 10am to 6pm on both June 10th and 11th. Food, drinks, side events, a gaming zone, the exhibition showfloor and the full speaking schedule will take place on both days, so make sure to plan to come and hang out with your community across that time!
We Want You! Hive Conference and Community Events, Plus Some Swag
While the image above is an unfinalized teaser and not exactly what you'll find at the real event booth setup (think bigger!!), it's an example of some of the incredibly fun stuff we've been spending the past month planning. As part of the full event schedule, there will be a number of great things to do while hanging out with your Hive community members, above and beyond the presentations... get ready for the Hello Hive! Community Mixer, a special Hive Berlin Meetup, and a very special secret photo opportunity on the showfloor that you won't want to miss. Plus, there will be some limited edition specialty Hive merch available for free for our community members including a custom-designed shirt, an awesome soulbound Hivebuzz badge organized by @arcange, and an art POAP issued from Web3 Berlin from NFT Showroom.
The Hello Hive! Community Mixer will take place on Saturday June 10th in the afternoon (finalized details to come- keep an eye here and on the W3B website) at the main conference site, and will be a place for our attending Hive members to have their own gathering room with snacks and seating just off the main show floor. It will also be a place for newly onboarded conference attendees to stop in, say hi, be welcomed by our amazing community and to complete a small on-chain social task with their brand new Hive account to help them dive in and to earn them perks like a Splinterlands account! It will be a great place to socialize and meet with friends while relaxing away from the bustle of the showfloor, and for all of our community to also help welcome people who are just getting started with their Hive journey explore all of the different aspects of the Hive ecosystem!
In the evening, the Web3 Berlin Aftershow Meetup is happening at the Mauerpark, organized by @alucian and @tibfox as part of @hiveup-europe, which is a chance for all of our attendees to get outside after a day indoors, spend some time in the sunshine and to choose a location for potential later evening festivities and the likely-to-occur #BeerSaturday event with @detlev and the rest of the conference Hivers! Working hard during the down markets is always a challenge, but we're so excited to be tackling a series of live events around the world to help more people get to know Hive! Web3 Berlin is a great chance to show off what real community looks like in the cryptospace.
This event wouldn't be possible without all of the tireless behind the scenes work of the @valueplan team, @louis88, @solarwarrior, @rivalzzz, @tibfox, @enrique89, our fabulous speakers @detlev, @arcange, @starkerz, @elindos and a number of other Hive community members who are contributing to making this event one of the first of many successful conference outings to come. If you aren't able to attend in person this time, more events in diverse locations will be announced as their dates draw closer. Web3 Berlin keynote and satellite stage talks will be live streamed for the rest of the globe, and the @hiveio account as well as Hive outward-facing social media will be sharing more details on how to tune in, even if you can't hit the showfloor.
