I'd like to think that most of us share a common goal here which is to see Hive grow into a place where we all thrive and enjoy hanging out. With that being said, I think we should talk...
What I'm hoping this post is:
I'm hoping for a transparent conversation from different sides of the Hive community.
What this post is NOT:
I'm not trying to start shit, create drama, or have anything negative come of this.
So the backstory:
The other day I went and updated a bunch of my old steemit posts from 2018 to be empty. A lot of my old posts are broken and do not display properly. After doing this, I decided to make this post which used photos from old posts, but the text had been updated to make things current. My posts had 500+ votes and then suddenly gets slammed with 12 downvotes and my rewards are now, nearly gone. An automated comment was left with an explanation as to why such events took place.
So in the past day, this account has left 50+ of these automated comments on different users accounts, to which each of these comments gets auto upvoted to over 1 Hive per comment. To top it off, they then share the same post on multiple accounts (screen shot 1) and those post get upvoted from the 40-60 Hive range.
Check out these upcoming rewards...
Now, compare that to someone who actually creates content.
idk man, something smells a lot like steemit.
