Hi @brianphobos thanks for your detailed response but some critical issues remain.
As far as additional devs and testers the most obvious source of the majority of that is here...
Who are these developers? Do you have their names? Is there a visible team that shows its face? Is there a repository? Is there an MVP?
Clarity and transparency are needed to build trust.
I would waterfall a lot of the funds into HBD Savings to stretch the funds out with the 15%...
Saying that you will use HBD Savings is not enough. There is no detailed budget. It is not objectively possible to assess the real value of your proposal.
The most my account was ever worth over on STEEM was over $20K but had over $60,000 on Cub Finance...
The value of your account on other chains does not matter and does not prove anything about your real trust in Hive today and the effort you might put into realizing your proposal on Hive.
So if an account has 10 bitcoins and makes a proposal similar to yours, should we prefer it to yours?
The common thing I see on this platform... is people expect someone to roll out an finished product and then MAYBE they will get support...
No one ever asks for a finished product, but at least a concrete basis on which to judge: MVP, team, roadmap, measurable goals. If you ask for 90K HBD you have to prove that you can build something, not just promise it.
It would be like Google telling me that despite my reputation... I can come work for them for free as a tryout...
Honestly, I don't think this comparison makes any sense.
Google hires after reviewing resumes, portfolios, and skills. Similarly here you don't need to provide a finished product but you do need to demonstrate that you can make it and then you can receive support.
Where in your proposal do you demonstrate that you can achieve this?
I'm providing a potential solution.
Of course, yours is a potential solution. But reading your proposal it seems more like an intention because there is no team, technical plan, roadmap, or explanation of how you will distribute the budget.
I'm not asking you or anyone else to send 90K HBD directly to me from your wallet to mine. The system is inflation based and HBD is a debt against HIVE.
Obviously, you are not requesting a direct transfer to me. The fact that the funds come from the DAO does not make them “free” but even more important because even if they are supported by inflation, every HBD allocated without results is a loss for the entire ecosystem.
It's no direct skin off your back.
that's false because in a DPOS those with significant stakes suffer much more from the consequences of ineffective proposals.
I have over 95K HP, you have about 366 HP, if a proposal fails I lose more than you do (even if indirectly).
Prove your worth and your proposal will likely be accepted, but if you leave it as it is, in my opinion, it won't pass, and the fault won't lie with Hive or those who don't support it, but with you, because if you put yourself in the shoes of those reading your proposal, you wouldn't support it either.
