With all these changes that happened in a very short period of time it was super hard to not pay attention to all the drama and the nonsense that was going on.
These early days of HIVE were very important to weed out bad actors and move forward with a rediscovered enthusiasm, thus the overabundance of HIVE topics (which i hope will change over time).
Those that do not share the same ideals of decentralization as we do will most likely excuse themselves on their own and move on or stay on Justins blockchain now that they have options.

One of the great things about this split is that we lost most of our spammers and reward pool abusers. Almost all of them remained on Justins blockchain, many of them running witnesses. Even Haejin is back to farming Steem now that there is no one to stop his spam.
Pretty obvious if you ask me. Why would a spammer pick a chain where his spam will be countered instead of a chain where he can spam freely?
Circlejerkers like Dobartim, Flysky, Exyle, Coininstant, the Korean whales like Virus707... are gone for most part as well. Slowly but surely those that brought STEEM down in the past wont be here in the same capacity, or wont be at all, to do the same thing to HIVE.
I think thats a very exciting thing.
Sure you will always have some salty people that will try and retaliate against everything HIVE related or contrarians that used to be influential on Steem that will try to get attention by pretending to be a "voice of reason" (while lacking it completely), but those people will fade away quickly as well.

My point is that we are slowly entering a phase of or own discovery. Discovery of who we are now as a community, where we want to go with HIVE and what goals we should focus on.
Do we adjust our mission? Do we rebrand and move beyond the "social media" label into something more inclusive? What will be the first major addition to the network?
All of these questions will have to be asked.
My biggest fear, as i stated in my DAO post was that now that we have no central authority organizing development, that the efforts to complete tasks could potentially end up unfocused and inefficient.
Developers sitting down at the table, once the initial tasks related to the HF are done, and ironing out a roadmap is something i find to be of utmost importance.
Just because we do not have a central authority that doesnt mean that there shouldnt be unified and COORDINATED efforts to deliver major additions to the network.
You could say that a generally shared vision of what HIVE should become exists in the community conscience (what ever that might be) and all we need to do is put it into words.
Future looks bright...
Ill see ya.
BTW...Dont panic if HIVE goes through phases of volatility and drops lower. Price discovery is yet to happen and we only have 1 major exchange atm.
