Today, I’m beyond excited to take you through a heartwarming illustration journey — a sweet bunny holding a flower, brought to life step by step with colors and love.
🖌️ Step 1: The First Brushstrokes
With a light sketch laid down, I began the painting by focusing on the bunny’s face. I carefully blended warm browns, tans, and soft highlights to sculpt her cheeks and tiny nose. The goal was to bring softness and depth right from the start. Her big innocent eyes were left untouched for now — they hold the soul of the character, and I wanted to save them for a special moment.
🌼 Step 2: Ears and Expression
I slowly built up more details — adding fluff to her forehead and that signature long bunny ear. Her warm, gentle personality started to peek through as I softened the strokes and let the light hit just right. I also began shading the floral outline near her hand — everything still in a quiet stage of becoming.
🐾 Step 3: The Bunny Comes to Life
Now came the fun part — giving her form! I shaded in her tiny paws, fluffy chest, and curled legs with care, adding that golden glow and cozy contours. A touch of pink inside the ear added charm. She was now taking a lively little leap off the page.

This stage was magical. I inted her wide, sparkling eyes in deep violet with soft lashes curling up — and just like that, she looked at me. Her flower also started blooming, with warm petal tones and a burst of yellow for the pollen. Suddenly, the painting wasn’t just a sketch anymore — she had a story.

And finally — the last touches! I gave her flower a green stem and leaves, tied all colors together, and softened every edge for a dreamy feel. She now looked like she was caught mid-hop, offering a flower with pure joy.
