One would think I'm complaining, but I'm also attempting to find a solution to this pushback. You see, sometimes, not all the time, when I approach people about accepting HBD and explain to them how it can be a game changer, how it can mean significant discounts for their clients, they pause and ask:
What do I get?
I think the first time I heard someone say that to me, a minuscule flame of anger showed up inside my gut, but I quickly suppressed it and smiled sincerely. I mean, how does this not compute? Giving your customers more buying power means they will buy more. But again, I'm trying to think of a more satisfying answer to give them.
Last night, as I was laying down in bed, I began concocting in this broken mind of mine something I could do, an answer I could give them. Of course, the idea is still rough, very rough, like one of those unfinished walls in abandoned constructions, but I have the workings of something. So I'm going to put it to the pen, the digital pen that is, and see if something can be rescued from the ashes.
Gamify the thing?
Writing up a little bot to make reports is not too difficult, but it also has to add value, not just bloat. I mean, nobody is truly a big fan of automated reports, I know this much. So it can't be just that. It can begin in such manner, maybe, but it has to deliver a little more than just reports. Let's not forget chief report master, a penguin that goes by the name of Pablo, was exiled from this place.
But what will these reports do? I can hear you asking. Well, for one, they can show who is in the lead in sales, what businesses onboard more people too, and any other metric we could determine as “this is how winning looks like” from where we stand.
Okay, so maybe looking at themselves in a chart might not be enough for these businessmen to get pumped up about it, but maybe some rewards, some prizes would. So maybe, every month, or every week, I don't know, a pool of liquid tokens is collected through these posts and paid out to the best-performing businesses, the ones who are killing it.
The implementation
Is not hard, or at least I happen to believe it wouldn't be. I think a real dev (not me) could tackle this in a week of work if not before. Then again, I may be speaking out of ignorance here. Backend is still a black box to me, and thus, I may be completely wrong.
However, given the fact that there are so many bots running around, and that people seem to have fallen in love with Replit, Vercel, and one more I can't remember, I totally believe we could pull it off.
Not enough?
Maybe, but that's only because it would start small, possibly very small, maybe just my upvotes. But if it works, if it nudges business owners to push for Hive, then logic would dictate they would become Hive preachers. Ultimately, this is what we want.
Anyways and anywho
Tell me, do I make sense at all? Should I even bother? Should I just ignore the myopic thinkers, or maybe attempt to make them see how the scarcity mentality has been pulling on their handbrake, and they need to change the mental chip.
I know, I'm ranting again, but I'm sharing something with you all because I value the feedback.

Uno pensaría que estoy quejándome, pero en realidad también estoy intentando encontrar una solución a esta resistencia. Creo que la primera vez que alguien me dijo eso, una pequeña llama de enojo apareció en mi estómago, pero rápidamente la suprimí y sonreí con sinceridad. Digo, ¿cómo no les cuadra? Darles más poder de compra a tus clientes significa que comprarán más. Pero bueno, estoy intentando pensar en una respuesta más satisfactoria para darles.
Anoche, mientras estaba acostado en la cama, comencé a idear en esta mente rota mía algo que pudiera hacer, una respuesta que pudiera darles. Claro, la idea todavía está cruda, muy cruda, como esas paredes sin terminar en construcciones abandonadas, pero ya tengo el inicio de algo. Así que voy a ponerlo en la pluma, en la pluma digital, mejor dicho, y ver si algo se puede rescatar de las cenizas.
¿Hacerlo un juego?
Escribir un pequeño bot para generar reportes no es muy difícil, pero también tiene que aportar valor, no solo ser bulto. Digo, a nadie le encantan realmente los reportes automáticos, eso sí lo sé. Así que no puede ser solo eso. Puede empezar de esa manera, tal vez, pero tiene que entregar algo más que simples reportes. No olvidemos que el maestro supremo de reportes, un pingüino llamado Pablo, fue exiliado de este lugar.
Pero, ¿qué harían estos reportes? Puedo escucharte preguntar. Bueno, para empezar, podrían mostrar quién lidera en ventas, qué negocios están incorporando a más personas, y cualquier otra métrica que podamos determinar como “así se ve ganar” desde donde estamos.
Ok, tal vez verse en un gráfico no sea suficiente para que estos empresarios se emocionen, pero tal vez algunas recompensas, algunos premios sí lo sean. Así que tal vez, cada mes, o cada semana, no sé, se junte un pool de tokens líquidos a través de estos posts y se reparta a los negocios con mejor desempeño, los que la están rompiendo.
La implementación
No es difícil, o al menos yo creo que no lo sería. Pienso que un dev real (no yo) podría encargarse de esto en una semana de trabajo, si no antes. Aunque bueno, tal vez esté hablando desde la ignorancia aquí. El backend sigue siendo una caja negra para mí, y por lo tanto, podría estar completamente equivocado.
Sin embargo, dado el hecho de que hay tantos bots rondando, y que la gente parece haberse enamorado de Replit, Vercel, y otro más que no recuerdo, creo totalmente que podríamos lograrlo.
¿No es suficiente?
Tal vez, pero solo porque empezaría pequeño, posiblemente muy pequeño, tal vez solo con mis upvotes. Pero si funciona, si empuja a los dueños de negocios a impulsar Hive, entonces la lógica dictaría que se convertirían en predicadores de Hive. Al final de cuentas, eso es lo que queremos.
De todas formas y en fin
Dime, ¿tengo sentido en todo esto? ¿Debería siquiera molestarme? ¿O simplemente ignorar a los pensadores miopes, o tal vez intentar hacerles ver cómo la mentalidad de escasez ha estado jalando su freno de mano y necesitan cambiar el chip mental?
Lo sé, estoy despotricando de nuevo, pero comparto esto con ustedes porque valoro su feedback.
