So here we are. I will be honest, I am not yet convinced that this major fork is the best way forward for everyone but it's done now and I must start out by recognising the incredible achievement of everyone involved in creating this new community environment, made even more impressive by the fact it's all been done remotely by people all over the world.
What's really sad to see is the bitterness which in a way is understandable and I hope over time this will subside as Hive really begins to take hold. I don't like the current state of affairs with the 'testing' and plotting and planning against Steem by some members of the Hive fraternity, the ridiculous 'war' chat in certain discord groups and the inane 'comments spam' being posted there. No doubt Justin Sun is a complete tosser with far more money than intelligence and words can't describe my thoughts about @ned but let's all try and take a deep breath and not lower ourselves.
Concentrate on the positivity surrounding Hive and not the negativity towards the new puppet masters at Steem. Let's not forget, the huge majority of people using Steem are just regular users, posting their stuff and trying to earn a few tokens.
Anyway, enough.....
I'm loving the professionalism here. Much less amateurish than Steem and the graphic work and resources available are excellent. Big respect to the graphic design department and how nice it would be if all the DApps could use a similar hexagonal design as a base for their logos so they could all interlock.
As for myself, as well as my general crap about life in Thailand, I will be posting about trains and model railways and will go back to the online railway communities and continue trying to chivvy them up into joining. I have my @railwaymodeller and @britishrailways communities set up so I just need to start getting some content in there from tomorrow!
With all due to respect to you coders and devs, trainspotters are no more weirdo geeks than you guys are ;-)
That's it really. I just wanted to check-in. I still need to get my head around communities and what appears where and what cross-posting is all about etc but I'll get there. So until tomorrow, a picture of a railway station to whet your appetite!
