To start, cut the paneer into long sticks. In a sall, combine the lemon juice, salt, dry chili and black pepper powders. Coat the paneer strips with this marinade mixture and let it sit for a while so that the flavors combine.
In another bowl, prepare a thin cake mixture by mixing flour, cornstarch, and water. The consistency should be silky smooth and easily pourable, the same as the pancake batter.
Dip each marinated paneer strip into the batter so that it gets ‘evenly coated’ on all the sides.
Now, crush a papad and put it on a flat area. Gently press the panner coated strips into the papad & ensure that the coating sticks well. Continue the treatment the rest paneer strips.
Heat oil in a deep frying pan/kadhai on medium flame. Then, bring the oil to a high temperature and gently add the paneer papads in few portions to fry until they are golden brown and crispy from all sides. Make sure that you do not overcrowd the pan, as if you will the papads will get stuck with each other.
After the paneer papads are well cooked, remove them using a slotted spoon and place them in a plate that has been lined up with paper towel to drain out any excess oil.
