How We Discovered the Hive Tryst Hackathon
Being a team of Web3 innovation enthusiasts, we are always on the lookout for blockchain-based hackathons to innovate beyond decentralization. When we came across the Hive Tryst Hackathon, we couldn't wait to work on Hive—a blockchain with fame for its speed, transparency, and affordability.
Project Overview – DecentraFund
Problem: Legacy crowdfunding websites are high on fees, have intermediaries, and are opaque, so that many projects fail to get funding.
Solution: DecentraFund is a Web3-enabled decentralized crowdfunding website that removes middlemen and allows for complete transparency through direct peer-to-peer funding using the Hive blockchain.
How It Works
User Authentication: Password-less, secure login through Hive Keychain.
Project Listing: Creators list their projects, establish funding targets, and outline their concepts.
Financing Process: Donors search for projects and support them with Hive tokens.
Live Tracking: Funds and project progress are updated in real-time on the blockchain.
Blockchain Transparency: Transactions are locked in permanently on Hive for security and trust.
Gamification & Leaderboard: Points are rewarded to users for contributions, and featured projects at the top to motivate community involvement.

Our Experience at Hive Tryst Hackathon
It was an amazing experience for our team to participate in Hive Tryst Hackathon. It pushed us to think and design blockchain-based solutions that revolutionize crowdfunding. We loved engaging with other developers, working with Hive's robust APIs, and experiencing the power of decentralized fundraising up close.
