Hello everyone!
It looks like we have exited the downward channel and are now waiting for consolidation. In fact, the road up is already open, and I started buying Hive again.
What you do is up to you. If you don’t have any free funds, you can only watch.
At the top, we are waiting for resistance levels (approximately) at $0.40 and $0.50.
But today’s post is not about that. Today I want to give a little advice.
Advice for beginners
If you look at my profile, you will see that I am subscribed to 2117 accounts. I subscribed to 95% of them in the first month of being on Hive.
Watching beginners, I see that many repeat this mistake.
You (like me once) are trying to attract the attention of large accounts, but it does not work. In the future, such behavior will only hinder you. Let me explain why:
- You can only attract the attention of large accounts with interesting posts and regular publications.
- Following too many accounts will clog your feed with content that you physically cannot read.
(Later it turns out that some of them are bots publishing garbage, while others are just trying to milk Hive with their useless posts.) - Now I decided that it's time to get rid of inactive accounts, as well as those whose vote weight has remained zero over the years.
I will have to manually check 2117 accounts, because I do not have an automated tool for this.
Calculate for yourself: if it takes 1 minute to check one account (which is unlikely in reality), then it will take 35 hours!
In reality - several weeks. That's the price of my mistake made at the beginning of the journey.
Account Cleanup
So, I decided to clean up my subscription list:
✔ I will delete "dead" accounts that haven't posted anything useful for a long time.
✔ I will unfollow accounts that I don't think are useful.
✔ There are accounts that I have been upvoting every day for a long time, but their owners have never even bothered to upvote my posts or leave a comment. So they don't deserve my attention.
✔ In addition to unsubscribing, I will also press the "MUTE" button - unfortunately (or maybe fortunately), I will not hear from them anymore.
I advise everyone to take the time to do the same cleanup. It will benefit the entire Hive network.
Of course, in the process I may accidentally delete an account that I really like - no big deal, I will find it later and follow it again.
Almost all of the above will not apply to new and young accounts (but I'm following you guys)) 😉
Thank you for sharing these moments with me! Until new stories and new holidays!
