Posting for almost eight years has given me some insight into how to make good content for posts. And the best way to make sure your content reaches as much people as possible. Watching others post has helped teach me what works, and what does not. So I do my best to put out quality posts, and made a list of five things that has really helped me. I wanted to share those tips with everyone else today on the Hive blockchain.
Tags
You have 10 of them to use, so make use to use them all. And use tags that others are using, I suggest to take a look at similar content to what you are posting to see what tags others are using. If you do not see anyone else using the tags you have been using, maybe best to find some new ones to use.
Resize your images
Your pictures should be easy to load for others, and when they are 8-10MB each I can tell you some people will just skip the post waiting for it all to load. Resize your images to around 1MB each.
Use markdown
We have this great formatting language we can use, so make the most of it. Find all the cool ways of using markdown to define your post.
Read the rules of communities you post in
Do not just blindly post in communities, read the rules and make sure you follow them. Otherwise you may find your posts muted.
Network with others
Once you have written a post, go comment on others. And go on Discord and chat with others, before you know it you will have some new followers. But remember this requires “true and honest” replies and interaction..
I hope those tips help, there is always something you can do to improve on your post. Maybe one of these is helpful to others.
