Okay... so maybe I didn't find every last marble, but I assure you that there are enough of them to get me rolling. And I'm just excited to finally get past the hump and put fingers to keys again.

I hope you haven't forgotten about me in the last few months... I know I left a few things hanging and a few plans in virtual limbo, but it was a summer that needed particular care and attention IRL.
(If you know what I'm saying.)
But Still Dave. Still Hive-Minded.
Still pumped about the future I see being written here by passionate community members, and I can't wait to find my groove within it and make my own contributions. I won't get ahead of myself in this post... I really just wanted to let everyone know that I didn't get lost or fall off the face of the Earth.
Some of you may remember what I was working on-- and it's no secret, really-- but I'm not in a rush to announce anything just yet. I want to get a few posts under my belt first, start re-engaging in a real way and then get back into the saddle.
Good things are incoming.
That's not to say that there aren't awesome things already happening here in #Hive ecosystem... because that would be downright silly! I'm constantly impressed with the ideas and initiatives of my fellow Hivians, and I can only hope to be found worthy of note.
I may have been absent in the content department this summer, but I was paying attention... a fly on the wall, so to speak. I've been curating nearly every day, and doing my best to take part in interesting projects-- new and old!
A Few of My Favorite Things...
I'll spare you the song (you're welcome) and just quickly share with you the #Hive elements which have caught my attention and kept me engaged. (Or at least a small selection for now, the cream of the crop.)
1. Rising Star and DCity!
These are the two games that I just happened to start playing fairly early on in my Hive journey... and no matter how distant I get from my blog here, I always keep up my progress in these games.
Granted, RISING STAR is a much more involved game that demands more of my time... but it's nothing ridiculous. So I play as many varied missions as possible each day, and I regularly invest in packs and individual cards to maintain or improve my spot in the top 30 (right now).
For DCITY, I go in and rebalance my population and do the odd thing... my city slowly built up over time, and I think of it as an income machine-- SWAP.HIVE, SIM, WEED, BEER, GAMER and ENTRY tokens all flow (at different rates) from this game.
2. The AWESOME Freight Train.
If you're not on it yet, you've missed A LOT of growth... think of AWESOME as an equity token backed by the total value of the @thisisawesome account. Although there are a few liquidity pools using AWESOME as part of their rewards, the best way to get your hands on AWESOME tokens is by delegating your HP to @thisisawesome.
The focus is on growth, so the account is active and engaged! Show your support and be rewarded... not only with AWESOME itself, but with generous payouts in other tokens and daily commenter contests for tips and delegations.
This is easily the single most valuable thing I've done on Hive so far. I wrote a post about it months back: the insane consistency of AWESOME's growth over time. It's no joke... I highly recommend it.
3. WOO! Yeah...

Most of you have probably noticed one of the newest entries into the Hive gaming world: Wrestling Organization Online! From what I can tell, they've made a bit of a splash.
And it's what I expected when I first saw it, to be honest. I haven't really cared about wrestling since I was a child... but I'm not blind to its popularity, even among adults. So I'm pretty sure there are LOTS of eyes glued to #WOO.
The tokenomics and different reward mechanisms are interesting too... I'm having fun slowly getting involved: a little handful of unopened WOOALPHA, WOORAVEN and WOOSATURN card packs earning me WOO tokens, an early delegation, a small investment in the SWAP.HIVE:WOO liquidity pool on #BeeSwap and an increasing token stake are all working for me at the moment.
I have a very small pile of cards in the mining pool too, but no rewards yet.
I check out my progress and claim rewards on the WOO WEBSITE regularly. It's all very cool so far, and I can't wait to see the game elements develop, Tons of chatter and interest, so don't wait too long to climb into the ring if it appeals to you!

But let me give a quick shout-out to both: the @brofi team in the Man Cave (their newsletter is quite substantial and informative, and their income token is solid), and the crew at @hiq.magazine (who are working hard on high-quality, entertaining content in various formats). That'll be my shortlist.
So it goes without saying that there are plenty of things keeping me engaged here in the Hive ecosystem! I just have tended to stumble in the content department.
Not a smart Hivian move. I know.
But I'm here... I'm writing my first post (in about three months) and I already have a second one ready to go. (One small step for Dave, one giant leap for Dave's marbles.)
I may have spotted a few more rolling around close by, now that I mention it... I should go grab them. You may have noticed that good marbles are in short supply these days.
