Hey Hivers!
Today is Hive Power Up Day and I'm celebrating with a 500+ HP stake! It's been a pretty horrible first quarter of the year here if we're watching price, though I've never really been overly price focused on HIVE. Regardless, it has been a bit disappointing after the Binance Perp listing Pump that we have retraced so far, but the entire market outlook is quite terrible these days. Despite the freefalling price action, HIVE continues to grow and is set to play an even bigger part in our lives this year! We are setting a lofty goal of powering up 5000 HIVE throughout this year and will be working to bring more fans and fellow musicians over to the platform as we build out this important new show. There is a big story-telling aspect to this new show and we are still looking at ways to build the narrative here on HIVE and offer great rewards and incentives for our closest fans to get on chain...
The stake was actually meant to be bigger, but I'm sad to report that something rather frustrating has happened! I had some extra SUI in a wallet that had gotten liquidated from a contract due to the steep price drop the past weeks. I was saving this for a special moment and had decided to swap some over quickly to prepare for HPUD. Normally I would always use an exchange for such a transaction, but I had checked on Simpleswap and had actually received a very favorable rate and so I thought I would use the service to swap SUI to HIVE directly rather than transfer back to exchange, then sell the SUI, then buy the HIVE with BTC or Stable. Much to my frustration, the funds were successfully sent to the wallet on SUI as directed, but then for some reason I have not received the funds from Simple Swap. I've used the swap a few times in past years and never had an issue, but now when I go to customer support they keep giving me very vague answers and are not explaining why the funds have not arrived in my HIVE wallet. The positive side is that their customer support is acknowledging receipt of my SUI and that they have instructed the HIVE to be paid to me, but I must say I'm extremely frustrated by their lack of communication. Needless to say I will avoid at all costs in the future after this experience (though I do hope I receive the 1000+ Hive that I'm still owed!).
Fingers are crossed that I eventually get the funds and then I'll power up an additional big bag, just wont be on HPUD, but the way we are grinding this year, EVERY DAY IS Hive Power Up Day!
