What Are We Looking For?
Simply put, we are looking for the best of the best. No compromises.
We only ask that your post to not be too controversial or too Hive-specific. Any posts regarding hive would need to be understood by the general public and attractive to a wide audience.
Your posts can be about:
- Art
- Photography
- STEM
- Economics
- Health
- Current Events
The Criteria
What we are looking for are magazine quality posts of 1600-2000 words minimum, well formatted, properly cited, and visually appealing. In other words, a showcase of the best Hive has to offer. We also expect that the author will engage their audience in the comments of their blog. Lack of engagement will cause authors to be excluded from future consideration. Posts will be checked for plagiarism and proper citation, and will have their rewards removed should any abuse be discovered.

Why Are We Doing This?
We believe having high quality posts at the forefront increases the value of the platform in multiple ways.
- It turns the trending page into a showcase of some of the best posts Hive has to offer
- It provides an aspirational target for future authors
- It sets the bar for what is considered a quality post on Hive
- It maximizes rewards for our best authors on a periodic basis
How Are We Doing This?
We have a large array of stakeholders with millions of Hive voting power who have generously pledged to upvote the best posts on hive. When doing so, these stakeholders are often giving up potential curation rewards they could have earned by discovering content themselves. Because so much power is being harnessed, we will normally boost one to two posts per day. If we don't find a post that meets our stringent standards, nothing gets boosted that day.
How Does An Author Qualify?
- The author must not have had their post boosted by @trendthis within the past 7 days
- The author must properly attribute any sources, including photos
- We prefer posts to be no more than 24 hours old
- We prefer posts that are original content created for Hive (blogs pushed from Steempress are okay, provided there is engagement on Hive.)
NOTE: The decision to boost posts are made at the sole discretion of the @trendthis team. Creating a qualifying post does not guarantee your post will be chosen. All rules are subject to change without prior notice. This project exists solely to incentivize professional quality work on Hive, and should not be viewed as a lottery system. We pledge transparency in everything we do, and welcome any feedback from the community
Any Questions
Please feel free to drop by our Discord: https://discord.gg/PkFUFMF or comment below. We are more than happy to work with authors to understand what we are looking for and increase their chances of being featured. If the Hive trending were a magazine, you could consider this project the editorial board.
You Can Help!
Follow this account, delegate, or trail its votes. Most importantly, follow and support the exceptional bloggers and posts we discover. If you pledge your upvote, I will tag you in the reply of chosen posts.
@trendthis was founded by @joshman. A special thank you to collaborators @azircon, @livinguktaiwan, @minismallholding, @riverflows. Of course this could not be done without the generous support of our participating Whales, Orcas, Dolphins and Minnows!
