Hello everyone I'm Byron the zombie drawing Canadian and I really like drawing pictures of my wife Monica :) She is my best friend, my muse, my everything.

As of today, this post date, we have been officially married for 25 years and together for over 29 years. Wild how time just flies when you really get a moment to reflect.
To celebrate and document this achievement I'm going to share with you as many portraits of her that I can find online. Some of these were created a very long time ago. I will do my best to be chronological and offer a brief description.

March 7 2011

While there are many earlier drawings and sketches of Monica this is the earliest I could find.
Drawn with ink and shared to my blog,
the daily zombie.
December 2017

On a cold day in December I drew my whole family as monsters. This is a full page (9"x12") drawing with ink. She is my Demon Queen. She did pose for this =)
December 2018

An ink sketch of her with her new glasses. I really like how the glasses give her a different look. You'll see more of her in glasses in the future.
January 2019

These are two ink sketches of us playing Mario Kart together. This is one of our go to games for relaxing together when the chores are done. She wins a lot because she is a gamer.
Febuary 2019

Acrylic painting of us that I painted on the wall of our house. It did not go as well as I hoped but props to Monica for letting me try it.
March 2019

This is another ink sketch I did that was based on her and her hair.

April 2019

Super duper small drawing of Monica in a super small frame.

May 2019

Water colour portrait created during my minimalistic and splatter period. This one is on 4"x6" watercolour paper while the one below is from my sketchbook

I like the white glare on these glasses.
June 2019

This is a picture based on her holding our cat Felix. She didn't like this one originally because she said it looks like her mom.

Another sketch of Monica in her glasses =)
July 2019

This was a painting gone wrong so I tried to recover it by drawing over top of it.
August 2019

Monica playing cards with me. Cards is another activity we do together a lot, since the day we met.
September 2019

This is a large 9"x12" mixed media painting based on her. She has such long hair irl.

A slightly risque pose that she never posed for =)

I over did the teeth on this one.

Novermber 2019

The caption for this one said " out of proportion " ... this is another drawing she didn't pose for.

December 2019

Inspired by Monica and her artic adventures.
Febuary 2020
Monica is the feeder of cats and her she is getting ready to feed them once again. Felix follows her room to room when it gets close to meal time.

Sometimes she does it wearing only a tshirt o.O =)

Here we are, holding hands in the apocalypse.

Another Feeding the Cat pose with one of the cats making an appearance. I still have the
kofi site, it's houseofthehorde now

Guess what's going on here ...If you guessed cat feeding time, you're right!!!

This painting might have been for Valentines day. It's acrylic paint on canvas board. About 5"x7" Together in the apocalypse.

August 2020

Two separate drawings with me looking like a Wolverine wanna be and her hair being our of control big. Some days it be like that.

Crazy ink drawing using Monica's hair as the main focus.
September 2020

This one was called Blue. $"x6" mixed media on paper.
January 2021

Monica often wears a head towel after showers and I couldn't stop myself. Later I printed out some black and white prints, then painted a couple. I originally drew this on May 16 2019 and I took a pic of it with Monica in the background, but I edited her out for this article.

Family Portraits
I have drawn or painted quite a few family portraits over the years as well, but these are the only 3 I could find for this post. This first one is from WAY back in 2009.

The one below is still one of my favourite family portraits and it features our first dog Sam. It was created in 2019 and hangs on our kitchen wall.

This one was drawn about a week ago and is the most recent image to date of the whole family.

25 More Years to go...
I can't predict the future but I do know without a doubt that there will be more pictures of Monica in it. It took the entire day to find all these artworks and compile them. I hope you enjoyed this as much as I did remembering the moments again. Thanks for reading.
