Welcome to the first edition of #KeepExploring!
In these posts I'll take you to a couple of spots that you definitely need to see on the island.
Its also the series that gives me the freedom to just explore, just get out the (with a camera) and explore.
I genuinely get more energy from seeing new places so I'm hoping that translates to an interesting post.
First up, Punda, Curacao.
The inner city of CuraƧao is very popular amongst tourists. It's an historic city on the list of UNESCO! It's famous for its colorful buildings, small streets and recently its instagramable spots š.
It has changed a lot over the years. There has been a conscious effort to get more traffic to the inner city since it has recently suffered a decline in visitors. The shops are no longe preferred of the modern shopping malls.
However the famous buildings remain!
Pehna Building
One of the most, if not the most popular shots of CuraƧao is the 'Handelskade'.
Another attraction is the oldest floating bridge in the Caribbean. The Queen Emma Bridge or the 'swinging lady'
It connects Punda with 'Otrobanda'.
It crosses the St Anna Bay which is frequently used by tankers and Cruiseships to get to the loading docks.
If you're into architecture this my friends is a must visit
Hope you've enjoyed the first edition!
Have a great week!
