I always dread those days where life seems so ordinary and monotonous. I hated not having anything to look forward to. Because of my dreadfulness towards the mundane days of my life, I sometimes overlook the moments of stillness and rest. Apparently, there are those days in life where everything seems like a routine such as getting up early in the morning, doing self-care activities like taking a bath and toothbrushing, attending online classes or going to work then doing school works or chores again until everything becomes a horrid cycle.

However, I realized that it's all about perspective. It's all about how we see the mundane moments in life because through our own eyes anything ordinary can become extraordinary. It's all about enjoying the moments of being alone and of being with loved ones. That is why whenever I have the opportunity to try new experiences, I always grab one whenever I can as long as it does not drain my precious energy, I will always go for it. That is why, whenever I get to try something new, I am always grateful.

In this blog post, I want to share to you some of my firsts, my first meet-up with my Hive blogger friends, first time flying during my aerial yoga class, first time trying coffee at this specific café and the like.
Months ago, I had my first night out during the pandemic with my friends. We visited this place called Vue by Delice which is a restaurant located in the mountainous area of Cebu City.

Some more firsts this year happened onn November 19, 2021, I started my day early since I had to meet up with some of my friends at Tom n Toms coffee. It was actually my first time going to a café at 8:00 AM to work. We had such a productive time there with my friends and luckily the internet connection was also good.

In the afternoon, we decided to go to Ayala and when I messaged @asasiklause luckily he was still with @explorewithsasha and @queenmeiko22. After window shopping with my friends, I hurriedly went to Starbucks. I had such an amazing time because I was able to talk to Sasha and Mary about my life as an occupational therapy intern and aside from that I got to meet Mary, my fellow Virgo, whom I share a lot of similarities with. It's nice to know that there are people who I resonate with. It was such a memorable experience because I got to meet them in real life beyond the corners of the online platform.

Days after our meetup, my friends and I then visited Drip and Draft, a coffee place located at Streetscape, Cebu City. I got to try their latte for the first time and it was absolutely a 10/10, the taste of the caffeine was distinct as compared to the more common coffee places like Starbucks. My friend also ordered some pastries to share as well.

And then another first, just recently, my friend Pamela invited me to attend a Beginner's Flying Yoga class with her and I could never say no that opportunity because yoga is life! The class was held at Asmara Urban Resort & Lifestyle Village. At first, we thought that it was going to be just an easy flow but we thought otherwise. It was actually quite a tough class that required an ample amount of upper body and core strength. I also had to overcome my fear of heights and trust issues. Nonetheless, it was such a fulfilling experience because I honestly felt like a fairy with wings.

New experiences always ignite this spark within us. When we try out new things and meet new people, there's always this feeling of excitement and gratitude in realizing that life has a lot to offer. We must be patient during the mundane days and grateful during the extraordinary days.
But always remember no matter what day it is, never forget to live in the moment. You will never get to live through this day ever again.
How about you? What new experiences have you encountered this year?
