Hello Hivers, Happy New Year! I'm very sorry if I was inactive for a month because of no electricity, communication shut down, no water supply and intermittent phone signal caused by Typhoon Odette's wrath that severely damaged our hometown, Danao City.
I was surprisingly shocked upon seeing our ceiling collapsed, the roof was flown away and our appliances was soaked from the rain. It was truly a horrible experienced after all but despite of what happened, I am very thankful that me and my whole family are safe.

It broke my heart when I saw the damages Odette had inflicted on our 20-year-old house. I feel so sad while looking at it not just because of what happened but because of the wonderful memories we had in our house.
In these trying times, we can glimpse the actual conscience of individual around us. I appreciate everyone's effort trying to help in a simple way. Our neighbor allowing us to get a water out from the their water well though it was very tiring activity because you have to left the water pail with your hands that almost weigh 5 pounds, others are giving free foods such as pack lunch, drinking water, and 5 kilo rice. Thank you, Lord, for giving your instrument through those people who shared their compassion.
Moving on may take some time, but it will all be worth it in the end. Items that have been damaged or lost can only be recovered with our continuing efforts. Let us remember that this too shall pass and the trials we go through will strengthen our faith in God our Lord. Even though Odette pushed us, we remained steadfast and we are more stronger than ever before.
That's all for today Hivers, I am praying and hoping for a better days ahead of us. Please share your thoughts about your experienced during the typhoon in the comment section
