Well, that escalated quickly.
Today I woke up to discover that the #HiveChat hashtag was trending on Twitter in Venezuela, as a direct result of our Tweetchat event on Tuesday. I saw this news on Twitter and some leaders here have been blogging about it. Check out this one: @victoriabsb/twitter-hivechat-en-espanol-01
The coordinated efforts approach seems to generating the results I was hoping for, but it's happening much faster than I had anticipated. I need to acknowledge the people who are truly responsible for this well-organized marketing initiative.
First of all, this #HiveChat Tweetchat is the brainchild of @jeanlucsr, who is a CEO of a marketing company.
When he first told me about his idea, I was like 100000000% behind it. As I have said many times, I am not a marketing expert, I am more of a designer/instigator/brainstorming creative type. I started the Hive Marketing discord channel and Hive community because I saw no one else doing anything coordinated. I saw a huge void, and if we are to be successful, we need to get serious about marketing. I would imagine that not many whales have in-depth expertise on how to effectively market Hive, but as we can see, a decentralized and well-coordinated approach is already creating results that matter.
I am thinking of writing a proposal in conjunction with @traciyork, as I believe Traci is one of the people who is creating the massive momentum of this initiative.
While the efforts of all us are helping to make this a success, Traci has some special talents with: good communication, supporting others, GIF creation and being a source of endless energy. I learn a lot from her ability to create an atmosphere of fun, and I believe she is instrumental in the success of #Hivechat.
I have some plans for how to make this bigger, and it involves some paid advertising on Twitter.
I want to apply to the DAO for this specific purpose, and to also pay each host of #Hivechat a small amount as a reward for their efforts. In this way, we can incentivize social skills, and boost people's morale who may not be whales or have a lot of HP.
I'm in the idea phase, but am seeking feedback from whales now. My idea is to boost the first #HiveChat tweet, as a paid tweet to get it in front of more eyeballs. We can do this for every Tuesday, and do this only for the very first #HiveChat tweet. I still need to fine tune this idea, maybe with some feedback from @jeanlucsr too.
Anyway, the other good news is that the Espanol community is having its own #HiveChat on Thursdays, and @victoriabsb and @enrique89 will be organizing this. Read @enrique89 latest post about that and how #HiveChat trended on Twitter in Venezuela on Tuesday: @enrique89/todo-un-exito-el-hivechat-en-espanol-tendencia-en-venezuela-or-hivechat-in-spanish-a-success-a-trend-in-venezuela

CURRENT NEEDS IN HIVE MARKETING
- We need more active admins in Hive Marketing discord: https://discord.gg/7yYFEq3
- We need someone who is good with data analytics to start analyzing our #HiveChat reach on Twitter.
As I have said many times before, I am a lead instigator, but not a finisher. I get stuff started, then the people who can finish and follow through show up. My energy lies in the creation of new ideas. If you find all of this interesting and you want to help, show up in our discord channel and start working.
Don't know what to do in Hive Marketing discord?
Start by welcoming new people, looking into the many channels, and generate more ideas to help grow #Hive. We need more Espanol Gifs for #HiveChat, more Gifs for #HiveChat, more blog posts about this, and more coordination between all the Dapps in Hive to show up on Twitter every Tuesday 12 GMT and participate.
There is no CEO. It's in our hands. We can do this if we all push ourselves and move out of our comfort zones and create more bridges between people, dapps, networks and organizations. Someone from LBRY has reached out to me on Twitter, and I have to follow through with that, LOL. If you want to help me with this, comment below.
Cheers,
