EXODE is hyperspacing to new milestones!
Here follows a full article about some of our new content.
We organized and created a community channel, #exodenews , with @khazrakh and @balticbadger delivering some insight too.

Let me begin this post by revealing one of our new legendaries: Sh4rken, illustrated by @ShinoXL.
And the card it became:
Sh4rken is part of our Booster collection and is the only card in Alpha with the "Can design new Software" action.
In 2325 rich corporations took power in the entire Federation. Thanks to copyrights, laws and complacent judges, only large corporations had developer license and distributing rights to colonies; so all indies distributing things on their own and refusing to contribute to corporations ended up branded as 'hackers'. Let's hope our future does not end like this one!
Software can be used if you have computer installations. Software can give new actions, and can boost research and happiness.
How to have computer installations? This is another card to be found in boosters! But most fortunately, your ship also has a basic one (just please don't have this one damaged in EVAC!).
There are software to be found in Boosters. These can be research programs, scanning software and also happy games. New software will also be added to Syndicate contracts, as part of contract continuous refinement.
But Sh4rken is skilled enough to launch a new software on his own. Like any research project you can define the criteria. Once a research project is started, all programmers on your colony can contribute.
Other Hackers are very useful too on their own even without Sh4rken as they are required to have software and computers "work well" and be in good status on a colony.
You also see a new trait here, "Hacker". If a card has Hacker in its title (ie Syndicate Hacker) or description (ie Sh4rken), it can receive bonuses from using items such as a "H4cker deck". Hacker decks is an Epic item also found in our booster collection and reduces programming time.
You may also find another, more minor version, a Programming Deck, which is a rare card. Programming decks can be used by all characters and give more programming points but prevents you from doing anything else. (this is the new Locked Actions variant you see above).
New Origins

What is next in eXode?
The Contract Opening of last week continues to make our Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays full of nice events! With opening of Tom Settler cards (Tom's Tuesday), Rekatron (*Friday) and Syndicate ( Syndicate Sunday ).
There are only six Elite epics found so far, meaning our players have very unique elements in their collection! There are only 16 Kumicho too, so it could be months until we see our first Elite Kumicho.
We programmed a wiki article generator for our cards and pushed live several updates to the market and collection page. We will deploy last updates there, such as listed prices on cards, card stacking and faster process.
But our immense event will be Booster Opening.
We will also deploy the same day Single Cards trading; something I have been preparing for some time. This means that when you'll open your Boosters, you will also be able to trade your cards immediately!
We are soon entering June as well!
June is another awesome month for eXode, as we will deploy Colonization Preview, Space Exploration and also your Galactic Map. And we will give access to playable colonization! You will settle on your planets and the "live game" of eXode will begin.
Next playable alpha
But the real next thing on my todolist right now is EVAC and rewards.
The next update to playable alpha is Version E and it adds a "customize game" screen:

Version E also adds a new crew system, with new tabs and an information separated in Tactical, Tech and Social.
But also, a direct click on "COMBAT" will tell you more details about accuracy and shooting chances and a direct click on "EVAC" will tell you more information about Evacuation actions.
All that is a work in progress.
Radial scripts released publicly by other programmers are giving us a very nice and clean UI. But I am tinkering with their code to give us more options.
Also, behind the curtains, network code is being reworked as version E looks to be our most advanced version by far!
There is a lot going on about how much pressure there should be to release everything early or instead to take some time to refine things.
My natural route is always to go on speed, but all this is taking time of course and sometimes a bit more than I would like. I believe eXode is benefiting from some refinement, but still doing my best to release everything as fast as I can.
I am very satisfied with how it is going to be; however crew details will need some more tinkering.
This version also adds a more dynamic crew - with access to scientists and civilians.
Soon I will also unlock access to Escorts and Special crew (yes!!!! our robots are coming!). These may be part of version E already or be deployed in a version "E2" to come soon after.
This version E is coming in the next days! And will be closely followed by Booster Opening and single cards trading, which have been prepared for some time and will be released once ready.

EXODE is a space colonization game on HIVE.
Playing it needs a 8 USD Starter and the game accepts HIVE coins, STEEM coins and Paypal.
It is currently in playable alpha. We are still one month in its alpha and many features will be added. You can discover the game with its concept video or its alpha footage!
