Hello Hivers! We are very happy to announce that we have added the @hivepay-io payment system back to the Hivelist Store as the first payment option at checkout! You can now pay with your choice of HIVE, SWAP.HIVE, HBD, and SWAP.HBD. We are considering some other Hive Engine tokens like SPS, DEC, and LEO, but we haven't made the final decision yet.
Working With The New Hivepay Team
We are happy to have worked with the new Hivepay team and were able to get them to update the Woocommerce plugin that the previous developers gave up on and never updated after they updated the Hivepay platform, not to mention not keeping up with Woocommerce updates. So having a new team that was willing to get everything all up to date for those of us use the Woocommerce platform on Wordpress to build e-commerce solutions! We are excited to get it back up and running on the store!
Future Token Payments
Like mentioned earlier, we are accepting HIVE, SWAP.HIVE, HBD, and SWAP.HBD currently, but are looking at adding a couple of the other high volume tokens from Hive-Engine. They have to be tokens that can easily be swapped into Hive or HBD without much or any slippage at all to make sure we are covering all costs of items, shipping, etc. It's not as big of a deal for digital items, but with physical, we need to capture as much of the dollar figure as possible. This is where HBD really shines as a payment method.
We are looking at adding DEC, SPS, SWAP.BTC, SWAP.LTC, and maybe LEO in the future. As a project that embraces crypto payments in commerce, we want to offer as many options as possible, but they have to have some good liquidity so we can transfer out as needed to pay vendors and to cover overhead costs.
Happy To Have Hivepay Back In Action
We are happy to have Hivepay back in action as a payment option which allows a more automatic processing instead of us having to do it manually. This will make ordering using HIVE or HBD a much smoother process!
Hivepay is just one of the payment options we have on the store. Users can also choose to pay with Monero, BTC or BCH, and various other options through our DePay payment plugin.
Fiat Is Gone For Good!
We are completely done with fiat payments on the Hivelist Store. We have bounced back and forth with it, but we decided to just be done with fiat all together unless with need to sell some crypto for costs to run the store or products. We also needed our fiat payment options to be available for a new business that is not crypto focused, so we wouldn't have so many issues with the payment processors trying to shut us down, which has been its own nightmare as we have built out the store over the last 4 years.
So now you have options to pay with not only HBD, but also HIVE as well as other Hive-Engine options we decide to add on in the future!
