Snakes' Horoscope for 2023
2023 is the Year of the Rabbit, and it is predicted that for those born in the Year of the Snake, luck will be generally stable, but there may be fluctuations due to good and bad stars. Overall, the year is expected to develop smoothly in a positive direction.
I can't say for certain if the above predictions hold true, though I hope they would. Most especially because of the events recently. Our company went through a round of layoffs, and unfortunately, many of my colleagues were affected. Although I was not one of them, it was a sobering reminder that job security is not a given and that it's important to have backup plans in place. This experience has served as a wake-up call for me and my remaining colleagues, prompting us to explore ways to diversify our income streams and not rely solely on our current employer.
As for me, I'm on a quest to explore the Hive network and get productive on its social platforms (or at least, earn a little bit of extra cash). I am not the best blog writer there is, and I still have a hard time coming up with ideas and topics to post on this network. But thanks to the fantastic Hive community for coming up with monthly challenges to help us members post in any of the Hive social platforms. In fact, the one I'm writing right now is an entry for the Hive PH January Challenge. It's still far-fetched, but who knows? Perhaps I'll get lucky and my post gets picked!
As an added benefit, this has presented me with an opportunity to learn new skills. I was forced to learn the basics of using Canva, a design tool, to incorporate images in my posts. This experience has not only helped me improve the visual appeal of my posts but also taught me a valuable new skill that I can apply in future projects. I'm excited about the possibilities and how this new skill can enhance my abilities and open up new opportunities.
Lucky Things for People Born in a Year of the Snake

Snakes are said to be lucky when they align themselves with certain numbers such as 2, 8, and 9. Additionally, they are believed to have luck when they are surrounded by certain colors like black, red and yellow, and flowers like orchids and cactus.
I'll make an effort to remember these, but I won't start purchasing items in the aforementioned colors in an effort to increase my luck this year. Fortunately, I am a minimalist and most of my clothes are black so lucky me.
My Thoughts
In conclusion, while I am a skeptic, I also acknowledge that fortune-telling can be a fun and interesting way to look at the future. I always make sure to take predictions with a grain of salt and focus on the things that I can control. By staying healthy, managing my finances, and being prepared for challenges, I believe that I can make the most of the Chinese New Year and any other year that comes my way.
It is important to remember that horoscope predictions are based on general trends and should not be taken as absolute truths. It is ultimately up to each individual to make the most of their opportunities and overcome any obstacles they may face. And also, it's important to stay true to yourself and not let the predictions influence your decisions too much.
