In today's episode I touch on the how and why you might want to install a HOCK blade and or chip breaker in your planes new or old.
Many makers are using A-2 Tool steel for their blades, even the WoodRiver and other Chinese or Indian made planes or the Canadian ones by IBC.
It is not to say that any of them are bad, and if you like them, use them and wear them out.
But whenever possible I prefer O-1 Tool Steel.
