A recent report found that the city of Salem Oregon spends more than $5 million dollars a year to attack the unhoused, the vast majority of that money going to the fn police.

When police arrest an unhoused person, it does not reform that person from homelessness, in fact taking a camped out person into custody causes them to leave behind all of their earthly possessions.
