On Sunday morning I was moving pretty slowly. It was cloudy and cold so I decided to work all day on the transcription. At 10AM I put the chicken in the crockpot for supper, but spent the rest of the day on the recordkeeping.
Tom arrived at 1:30PM with the milk order and informed me it was a beautiful warm day outside. He was right, but I was in no shape to go out and work. As we stood on the front porch when he was leaving, I glanced down and this is what I saw.
I have no recollection (surprise, surprise) of planting anything but tulips in the New West garden. But these are obviously well established snow crocus, so I must have.
I went back to my transcription. I had reached the part where I record things from my photos. One of the first things I learned was that we had been working extensively in the New Herb garden last year on February 10th. I, of course, have no memory of ever working in gardens in February before.
I spent a huge amount of time trying to figure out what I had done with the amendment formula for the Little Trees last year, as I could not find the recipes. They finally turned up but it was nearly 3PM and I was getting pretty tired.
So once that part was done, I stopped and watched a video, You’ve Got Mail. Listening to the computers on dial up was a blast from the past! Theirs connected a whole lot faster than ours ever did!
My brother and I sat at supper and he started talking about my mom’s upcoming visit. I thought it was 10 days away, but alas, it is this coming Thursday. That eliminates my visit to a Bulb Show, and also to the exercise class. She goes back home on Saturday.
On Monday I am going to one of the Bulb Shows with my old window washing friend. It’s also laundry day and I have a messy kitchen to clean up.
