The Honeysuckle ( Lonicera ) is native to Countries in the Northern hemisphere such as China , India , Europe and North America. The plant is well known for it's sweet nectar, which can be extracted by sucking the base of the flowers. If you have a honeysuckle in your garden, you will attract lots of Moths and Butterflies which come for the nectar. Honeysuckles can be used as a climber when a support is provided, but can also make a useful groundcover plant. The creamy white coloured and fragrant flowers appear in Spring and Early Summer, and put on a nice display. After flowering, the plants produce berries which are mildly poisonous. This Honeysuckle plant is growing in Sydney where it covers rocks to the side of a driveway.
