When I first came on board Steemit, i was super enthusiastic about making quick earnings. I write pretty well, and i already had unpublished contents for starters. Everything seemed ready and running, all i had to do was begin posting, and the SBD'S would begin to roll in. Needless to say, how wrong was I.😏
Fast forward about one month plus, and I've finally found my footing (at least to a fair extent) and this post is to help others who might also be finding it difficult in taking the baby steps towards good earnings on steemit.
First of all, there are lots of other posts on this same topic, but this one is particularly written for those who are like me, i prefer simple uncomplicated ways of earning...
Now walk with me...
There are different ways you could increase your earnings. Some are sure fire ways with guaranteed little returns, while others are probable ways but with large possible returns. Feel free to take your pick...
1. Actively socialize so you'll be known...
Steemit is afterall a social platform, so why not? You can start by making intelligent comments on posts you relate with. This way, you get to interact with a lot of people who may feel the desire to start watching out for your works. Respect begets respect, and same applies to socializing i believe.
You could also download the discord app on google play as well. This way you'll be able to engage in direct conversations with those active Steemit members there. Mind you, a lot of gamers (like me) have accounts totally unrelated to Steemit there, So not everyone there is on the steem platform...
2. Contests! Contests! Contests!...
Another way to increase your earnings as a beginner is by entering for various contests depending on your strong skills. There are numerous contests on Steemit ranging from writing to memes, to even pure lotteries. Whatever you feel you're good at, look for a contest based on it and enter... @djoi happens to be an excellent story teller, and if you check her page, you'll find out she enters the story/prose contests. I personally do not have a thing for prose, but poetry? There, I could try. So look for what works for you...
3. Bid bots...
Well, if you cant beat the obstacles around the votes, buy them. Another way to increase earnings as a minnow is by buying votes, but of course you have to earn a little first to make this work. To buy votes, its best to use the steembottracker.com platform as it's quite simplified to an extent. My advice, start small with the promotion services bots only. When you've made a little extra, then you can start bidding for the competitive whale bots. Mind you, buying votes is also a risky venture at times... Some steem users consider it unethical and because they cannot target the whales themselves, they tend to flag the posts of the minnows who buy the votes. So, if you should bid for a whale's vote, bid smartly, and endeavor to only buy votes for posts no more than 3 days old.
4. Zappl...
Using at zappl.com is also a way to ensure you make sometging from your posts. This is because @zappl upvotes every post made from its platform. However, there is a catch: zappl posts have a limit of 240 characters per post. So unless you're really skilled in summarized deliveries, you might lose grasp of the quality of your work by using zappl. You'll make fair earnings for a newbie though, lol.
5. Quality...
Finally, there is no alternative to churning out quality posts. This is the one way to increase deserved earnings on steemit: by posting quality write ups. There are scouts here too, and sometimes you never know who is reading. You keep posting quality write ups and you'll be surprised how quickly people would warm up to you. The result? More upvotes of course, and that translates to more SBD'S...
So, newbies, here's to increased earnings... 👍
