Thanks to Howtoweekly's contest, I made this awesome sunburst decor for a friend of mine using BBQ skewers, 1 small round mirrored sticker, paper plate, craft glue and expandable ribbon. Very easy to assemble and can be constructed in about 10 minutes.
- First I cut out a circle from the paper plate the same size as the mirrored sticker.
- I glued the BBQ skewers onto the cut out round piece of paper plate to create the Sunburst look.
- After that, I glued the mirrored sticker on top of the arranged BBQ skewers with the mirror side facing up and tada, I made my very own Sunburst wall decor.
- To add a little flare, I weaved a silver expandable ribbon throughout the BBQ skewers all the way around. As for this step, you can use whatever you want! Your favorite fabric or twine, maybe.
The whole process literally took about 9 minutes from start to finish. Homemade gifts are the best! They are more meaningful for one, but mostly because you can save so much money by gifting DIY style.
